  1. You are considerate. Unfortunately others are not, both in the evening and in the early morning. I just don't understand why people need to keep opening drawers. Perhaps Selbourne and I should start an ADOS group ( Anti Drawer Opening Society).
  2. The bigger the ship, the bigger the problem when the wind is against you.
  3. Are you sure ? Never had a problem walking up in Princess.
  4. I'd agree with you 100%, but with the proviso that the area is, obviously, a tourist magnet, with prices to match. Hundreds of tourists buying microwaved paella and drinking overpriced wine. I just don't see the attraction of the place. Just go to one of the adjacent streets to experience the true Barcelona.
  5. It does seem a lot of travelling to spend only three hours in Granada. There is so much to see in Malaga, that I would spend my day there, rather than spend the best part of four hours travelling to Granada and back. Obviously, if you have explored all of Malaga, I understand why you would want to go to Granada.
  6. Excellent advice from Selbourne. I would just add that dress code on Britannia is perhaps different to what you may be used to. Without starting a dress code argument (again !) on formal nights in the MDR you will be expected to wear at least a jacket and tie, with the majority of men wearing suits or dinner jackets, and no shorts in public areas in the evening. One other difference - tips are included in your fare. Again, without wanting to open a can of worms, many of us may tip our steward at the end of the cruise, but there is no need to tip waiters and bar staff on a constant basis.
  7. Sorry, but you are wrong. The Premier Beverage Package does not give you reserved seating. The Princess Premier Package ( which includes the Beverage package) has the reserved seating element.
  8. Pre-covid Singapore had over 19 million visitors a year, and is a significant part of the economy. It's a major tourist destination in its own right, but many Europeans use it as a staging post for a few days, before flying on to other Asian destinations. Normally the Singapore immigration process is extremely slick - you certainly seem to have had a bad experience. Just one point about the large groups of youngsters congregating together. Singapore had some of the most stringent rules in the world regarding socialising during Covid. A lot of what you saw is the understandable reaction to being free to again, and making up for lost time.
  9. Movies do not generate significant revenue, so I'm not surprised that the selection is relatively old.
  10. The reserved seating only applies to those passengers who have purchased the Premier package, not the Plus package. The number of passengers buying this package will be considerably less than those who have purchased the Plus package. As ship's management know the number of people who have purchased the Premier package on each cruise, they will be able to increase/decrease the size of the reserved section accordingly. It should also be noted that the reserved seats only apply to the production shows. So, when just a solo singer or comedian is performing, there will be no reserved seats.
  11. And surely the responders would be ship personnel, who would have no trouble finding their way to wherever the "catastrophe" might be.
  12. I thought that normally you got the taxes element for missed ports reimbursed to your onboard account.
  13. SpainDayTours certainly do excursions for more than two people. They limit the number to 14 or 16 people per tour. I suggest you e-mail them, telling them which tour you are interested in - they respond quickly. I'd also suggest that you don't let your spell check use the word exertions. "Looking for exertions" has a totally different connotation to " looking for excursions" !
  14. Just one point - if you want to see the Alhambra independently, you will need to pre-book a timed entry ticket. So, not only do you need to know the drop off point, but you also need to know when you will be dropped off as well.
  15. Agreed - I haven't seen a minimum spend requirement for years.
  16. Especially if you are a senior citizen!
  17. On arrival at LHR you first pass through Border Control (immigration). You then collect your luggage, and pass through customs - basically just a walk through the nothing to declare "corridor". On leaving LHR you check in your baggage, when your passport will also be checked, then pass through security into the departures area. As an aside, you mention you use a mobility stroller. There is quite a lot of walking involved at LHR, plus queuing at Border Control. I would strongly advise that you request wheelchair assistance.
  18. The other issue is that given the multitude of cabin options on a cruise ship, it is almost impossible to quote a representative cruise fare.
  19. Isn't the film about three hours long ? Seems a lot of time to spend.
  20. Lifts and stairs normally share the same lobby, so diagrams will be available.
  21. Cold, wet and miserable today, so my one man frozen mash potato production line will start up.
  22. I think these price increases are a reality check. Numerous posts about poor quality of food in the MDRs, portion sizes, reduced choice in the buffets etc, but in the real world food prices are spiralling upwards. People dont want to pay higher cruise prices, but expect the same level of food quality and quantity. It just ain't possible.
