  1. Can be added at any time, or you can now buy it onboard ship, on day one.
  2. This question has been asked previously, and the answer is that no one knows ! It is only from today that it is possible to purchase PP onboard, so we have to wait for reports back.
  3. Sorry, as others have said, that is incorrect. Holiday Extras may ask for the cost, but others do not.
  4. Hmm - I guess you are not a Princess fan. As you are never going to cruise with Princess again, after one cruise, why carry on posting on this forum ?
  5. I'm hardly a loyalist - normally I cruise with P&O! Never had any problems on board - all my reservations were in place. Just stating my experience.
  6. Indeed. And I know I am guilty as well in quoting prices. Just throwing out prices for insurance is wrong, as there are so many personal circumstances to take into account, that it is impossible to give a single "best buy" recommendation.
  7. Am I the only person to have absolutely no problems with the app ? I'm a Brit, using a four year old tablet. Downloaded the app with no issues, entered all the personal information in a matter of minutes. Booked our dining preferences and a couple of speciality dining reservations as well. And, all our personal details were automatically carried over to a later cruise as well. So the app does work !
  8. Or 10 cruises for £38.50each. Still seems expensive for one person just for Europe.
  9. Sorry to be a smart alec - we flew in the "bubble " on a 747. Never to be forgotten. And, we were in economy !
  10. I think it depends on the cruise. Princess cruises ex Southampton will have a lot of Brits aboard, and consequently more people dress up. Out of Barcelona or Rome etc, more Americans aboard, so less formal. Just my personal observations.
  11. Mind you, BA put a 787 on our flight back to LHR from ATH. Lie flat seats in BC ! I actually slept for a couple of hours.
  12. We previously used Staysure. When we came to renew this year they wanted £650 for European annual cover. So, following advice on here, we opened a Nationwide account, and annual worldwide cover is less than £300!
  13. Actually, I would say totally the opposite. Far more people dress up on P&O than on Princess. Us Brits like a bit of bling !
  14. Perhaps they wanted to go to a bar that required formal dress ?
  15. No different to any other carrier then !
  16. Because so many people do not take the trouble to do the research, as you have done. They go for the easy, and expensive, option !
  17. Absolutely, but PdC is nowhere near as nice as PB. I'd rather spend the extra !
  18. Just as an aside, a taxi to Playa Blanca will cost about €60 ( one way). So, if four people share, it is as cheap to go privately as use the P&O excursion.
  19. It is worth pointing out that the crew numbers reflect total crew members, not just customer facing staff. So, the number of engineers, for example, on Iona, may be the same as on Aurora, despite the difference in ship size. Therefore the fugures need to be interpreted rather than be taken at face value.
  20. I know that this is an old article, but the implications are now being felt. P&O for one, is changing 2023 itineraries as the new ruling comes into force. Worth double checking that your cruise will still be visiting Palma prior to booking excursions. https://crew-center.com/palma-de-mallorca-limit-cruise-ship-arrivals-2026#:~:text=May 5 was a historical, ship with over 5%2C000 passengers.
  21. Sorry, no idea what you mean. Smaller P&O ships ? How small ?
  22. Sorry, not a photo, but if you scroll through to the end of the video you will see the size of the Sky balcony. https://images.app.goo.gl/Bc8kGFURUgcPtG9y9
  23. Nor us either. We would rather have a smaller space but be able to sit and see the sea. Isn't that the whole point of a balcony?
  24. Absolutely true. The Pizza in Alfredo's is made to order - you can order a 50:50 to share, which is what we do. The Lido pizza is pre made, sitting under a heat lamp - no comparison.
