  1. We got the email around 1 pm today. We had access asD+ on EN this past year, but on Jewel in Nov we did not. Honestly, we just go to the DL regardless of what ship. Funny thing is, we've met more Pinns in the DL than in the CL.
  2. How hard can it be? My phone alerts me to everything under the sun. We'll see how well it works when a lot of people are trying to use it at the same time.
  3. You mean, like everyone will be walking around with their phone in their face texting each other? LOL. Will it at least have an alert now for when you get a message?
  4. That's a bit petty considering the word requests also means "asks" which is what they do. They ask that guests bring wine in their carryon.
  5. Royal requests wine be brought onboard in your carryon so those things don't happen.
  6. They x-ray all luggage and plenty of people have been caught with liquor in their luggage and have had to go claim the bag in the naughty room where they give you a receipt while they hold the contraband for pickup at the end of the cruise. Everything guests and crew bring onboard gets x-rayed. You just got lucky.
  7. The "free" D+ drinks also have tips already included for staff. I never said we tip $1 per coffee drink when we bought the card. I just said we tip $1 per coffee drink. Why does this bother you so much? You do you.
  8. Well, some can think what they want. We also tip on every D+ drink we get.
  9. When you cancel onboard all they can do is give you obc, but that goes against your onboard bill so it's still a refund.

This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items. Option 3: If you can’t find a new itinerary that works for you and choose to cancel, we’ll be sad to see you go. You’ll receive: A full refund of any paid portion of your cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) and any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment, within 14 business days – some international banking and financial institutions may have a processing time of approximately 30 business days. If you used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing, and you request a refund instead, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original certificate. If you booked your airfare through Royal Caribbean International, it will be automatically refunded to you. However, if you booked on your own, please contact the service provider directly for your options with them. Please note, if you choose this option, we will not provide additional compensation.   11. Kind of. We just got the cancellation notice for our 20 April 2024 12 night on Vision due to drydock. Not sure what other cruises are affected as we were booked on the 12th and 20th for a b2b.
  12. I don't see the big deal. Hotels and resorts used to be once per day. A lot of hotels aren't doing it at all anymore unless you stay at least a week.
  13. In Baltimore they look almost all of the time. We've had to actually take the bottles out and they pick them up, turn them over, etc. That's the only port we've ever had that scrutiny in. We don't carry wine onboard anymore as our two C&A amenities are bottles of wine.
  14. All aboard is 30 minutes before sail away, so for 6 pm departure you have to be back onboard by 530. They will tell you the all aboard time and it will be posted in the compass and on the app.
  15. To be fair, restaurants all precook bacon and sausage (bake it). It's too time consuming to cook for each order. As for the rest, I agree shouldn't be made ahead.
  16. Food on Jewel wasn't very good in Nov either. As for the subject of losing their food supplier, we were told that on Jewel by someone we met at Cheers with an Officer lunch who is a chef in FL. He said the original supplier went out of business during the pandemic because most of their clients (if not all) were cruise ships. I posted this before and got jumped on about our food experience. Nov was the worst we've ever had. Our previous cruises since restart were decent, but our Jewel experience wasn't good at all.
  17. We love both for different reasons, but we also love that itinerary and the fact we can drive to Baltimore in one hour.
  18. Ah, so we don't need any other proof lol. Another poster just said they just got off EN and weren't asked any additional questions besides the three. I think we need others who have run into this to chime in. Otherwise, it could just be a rogue agent.

  20. They don't. Just the three mentioned above. DH comes home with a cold from most cruises. We just got back on Nov 19 from a b2b on Jewel and a couple of days later, a cold. Just sore throat and productive cough. We had our two sons and DIL's and one DIL's parents over on Thanksgiving. One son, both DIL's and myself caught it from DH. DIL's father ended up with RSV but not from us. Just so much going around. We never sweat boarding with a cold, not to mention how many have seasonal allergies. The nasal congestion question can apply to so many things that aren't contagious.
  21. We do the 12 night out of Baltimore and get Barbados. We've done it 4-5 times. Recently, just this past April and going again this April. Pretty sure we did one 12 night out of NJ on Explorer, but that was the only one. The rest were 10 and 11 night. We'll know soon what ship(s) and some will be disappointed I'm sure. As for the comment about quality of people out of NJ/NY, then maybe that poster shouldn't worry about what ship and this thread.
  22. When we boarded Jewel on Nov 6, it was the first US cruise since the TA. When we got to the room, expecting our usual 6 bottles of water, we found 2 cans of mineral water (yuck). DH asked if we could get bottled spring instead. DH and I cannot drink mineral water. I know it's popular in Europe, but nope. They swore that they didn't have plain bottled onboard. Well, after our steward pursuing it for a couple of days (we didn't ask him to) a 12 pack of large bottles of water showed up (1 liter size). More than we could possibly drink. We were onboard for 13 days total and got those bottles about 3 days in. We ended up drinking 3 of the big bottles. Our steward told us he couldn't take them during the cruise, but whatever we left at the end they could keep. So we left 9 large bottles of water for our second steward (they switched up between our b2b). We had carried two small bottles (16.9 oz) from our hotel that we hadn't drank so all we really wanted were our 6 bottles we normally get. Water is heavy so we don't bother carrying many onboard. Just like we quit carrying wine as we already get two bottles as 340 pt+ D+. I remember when people would put a luggage tag on a case of water or soda and it would show up. I know they quit accepting those a while ago.
  23. And, Voyager size is too large for some ports Baltimore and Tampa for example can't take Voyager size. That's why only Vision and Radiance class are there. Voyager class isn't that old. What we really need is newer smaller ships.
  24. Well, without requiring proof, they have to go by what the woman says. The rule applies to everyone.
