  1. The wheelchair accessible Club Balcony staterooms can't really be compared to anything but each other. They also only sleep 2 so that may not be an option for some. In that case, the one starboard side is the better of the 2. Also, there is some jumping around in the thread between different ships and different classes. It can be confusing if people aren't sure what they are looking at.
  2. It would depend on which aft-facing balcony decks/staterooms were available and which Club Balcony staterooms were available. Bed location is important to me so I would see what the best available options were. Balcony sizes vary for both categories so I would try to get the largest one available. The Club Balcony w/ huge balcony staterooms have less privacy from above but have a better view of the ocean when looking straight down. Motion doesn't bother me but many people find the aft-most staterooms to be more stable that the forward-most staterooms. If it rains, aft-facing would be better. If you want more sun, the CBS would be better. Overall, I prefer the aft-facing as long as I can get a good one.
  3. I know that it's just a typo but ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶r̶o̶u̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶e̶x̶p̶l̶a̶i̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶h̶y̶.̶.̶.̶
  4. Haven access doesn't connect to those in the balcony stateroom. The concierge might allow something but officially, only the people booked in the Haven suite would have Haven access.
  5. There has never been a problem before. Even when the wife didn't like the entrée, they brought her a different one.
  6. Yes, to all of the above. There can be but that is true for all of the lines (Carnival, NCL, RCCL, MSC) that you are considering. I find that there are also isolated and quiet(er) areas on the ships that we have been on. The trick is to find them and not to get wrapped up in the crowds. Nobody really cares where families actually sleep. It would be best to get connecting but adjacent or opposing staterooms can work. The adults would need to be booked apart but can sleep in one with the kids in the other if you are confident that they are responsible enough. Getting extra wristbands is an inexpensive option. Opening balcony dividers can depend on the cruise line and in some cases, the stateroom. You may or may not be able to open the divider. Depending on time of year and luck, it's possible that Yacht Club for 5 can be done for about the price of 2 balconies on the Oasis Class. Actually, it could be less depending on ship (don't even think about getting a good price on the ICON Class) so that's something to consider.
  7. One of my cruises was booked through MSC's concierge service and didn't show price details nor did it give the option to pay online. One day, it just popped up and gave me all info and options like my other cruises that were booked online. As for the "normal" travel agent, a guest would go through them to see how much is left to pay, I guess.
  8. If you're on the narrow part of the balcony, the bridge can't see you but your neighbors (16047/16028) probably can. On the flip side, you can look into way more balconies and hot tubs than can see yours.
  9. They are the same. Port and Starboard mirror each other. You can fit 2 people. It fills like a bathtub. You control the temperature with the hot and cold knobs. Whatever you want. The table is large enough to seat 6 people. Tell your butler or concierge which one that you want. He/She can reserve any available one and mark it as yours for the entire cruise. There is a hallway closet between the bathroom and the living room. You can store several suitcases under the bed. You'll find plenty of places throughout the stateroom to store stuff. There is more than enough storage for a family of 4 to cruise for a month. 😊 Not too bad. We've had breakfast out there on sea days. The bridge can easily see you so be sure to give them a wave. 🖐️
  10. Go to https://www.msccruisesusa.com/ Click on the Head and Shoulders next to the magnifying glass. (Manage Your Booking) Click on "Login" under "WITH YOUR MSC ACCOUNT" Sign in with your Sign in name and Password Click on "Cruise Details" near the top of the page Click on "Payment and price details" near the top/middle of the page Look for "AMOUNT DUE" under "TOTAL PAID"
  11. The ones listed on post #18 are the ones that I don't have. I haven't posted the list with the links to pics/videos. It's still a work in progress....
  12. Hehe, I have that video linked on my list. I could probably guess the ones that I'm missing but I want people to be able to click on their particular stateroom and see it when the list is done. I'll be on Seashore again in a couple of weeks but I doubt that I'll be able to sneak in a few shots. I will bring my list just in case...😉
  13. I guess that you mean 2024. 😁
  14. Seashore and Seascape are basically twins. With either, there are Aurea Suites and Yacht Club Suites that sleep 5.
  15. If it was up to ME, it would be a hard, cut in adamantium, never to be altered, rule that non-YC cannot enter the Yacht Club but it isn't up to me. If too much of the camel enters the tent, it will be for MSC to decide what to do. We guests just have to hope for the best that our experience isn't negatively impacted.
  16. I think that a distinction needs to be made between MSC staff/officers giving access to the Yacht Club vs. Yacht Club guests giving access to non-Yacht Club guests and non-Yacht Club guests taking it upon themselves to grant themselves access. If the staff allows it, YC guests shouldn't really complain unless those non-YC guests have a negative impact on the YC experience. As for the forum, I think that the fear is that if someone mentions bringing a guest into the Yacht Club, EVERYONE reading the thread will feel that they can bring others, too. That will lead to chaos. A 90 year-old woman asking to bring a guest won't ruin anyone's experience. If the staff approves, it's a non-issue. EVERY guest bringing a guest would be a disaster.
  17. I'm booked on World America so most of the things will carry over from ship to ship. As far as the Yacht Club specifics, let us know how effective the elevator hijack system is outside of the enclave. Also, can you give an opinion on how the non-Yacht Club staterooms are separated from the surrounding Yacht Club areas (decks 19-21, for ex.)?
  18. Thanks. Only 12 more to go.... 19005 19007 19008 19010 19020 19021 19023 19024 19027 19029 19031 19034 ...if anyone has info/photos/video of the above, please post.
  19. Thanks. I'm still working on the list. With the list that I'm making, I'm adding links to either videos or photos for each stateroom. It's taking a long time for the visuals but if you have either, please post it. I'd appreciate it.
  20. A 2 bedroom family villa (inside of the Haven complex), or a Deluxe Owner's suite (inside of the Haven complex) will work. It depends on what is available. If you do not want Haven access, there are many more options.
  21. All Bliss aft-facing suites (Haven) have a king bed (does not split) and a sofa bed for 2. That is the only way for 4 people to have an aft-facing stateroom on Bliss.
  22. There is shade. You can drag a lounger into the shaded area or have an attendant drag a lounger for you. Seascape has pergolas but they have more sun protection than the Seashore pergolas. They are also first come/first serve except for the Royal Suites and for the Owner's Suites. Yes. Someone will bring you whatever drink you prefer. You can even get some fresh air by walking outside to the area directly in front of the TSL.
  23. NCL's dress code allows shorts and t-shirts in most specialty restaurants. There's no guarantee that you won't see people wearing shorts in the Yacht Club for dinner.
