  1. Bella through Yacht Club is the same daily service charge.
  2. There's also.... You may replace a dish from the Dining Experience menu with one from the à la carte menu for 50% of the listed price. You can also order any additional dish at full price. ...in certain restaurants if you have a dining package.
  3. Technically, yes. You could bring the powdered version and mix with water onboard, I guess.
  4. It's pointing out that the deck plans are incorrect. People looking to book an angled balcony that is the same price as a standard balcony would be happy to have the correct information.
  5. Where does the cruise start? Where does the cruise end? Which countries are visited in between?
  6. Prices do fluctuate but don't expect to get lucky. What works for me is to book early (to assure that I get the stateroom that I want), continually watch for price drops or added Voyager's Club discounts, and decide if it is worth the gamble to reprice if the new price is lower. I generally book 1-2 years out so I usually end up with a good price until YC is sold out or my stateroom category is sold out. By the time that final payment comes, there may be a few available staterooms but those might go to people who upgrade. On my next cruise, there is only 1 YC stateroom available but the price is currently higher than it was when I booked. Even though I'm past final payment date, there's no lucky/lower price way to get into the Yacht Club for someone who's looking to book.
  7. I paid $2 for my water shoes at Walmart. They worked fine and I continue to use them at OC. I also recommend them for use on the sundeck since that area can get very hot.
  8. It depends on who is working that particular ship on that particular day. I've been told "...no drinks near the pool..." but on the same cruise, I've had butlers deliver drinks to me while I was IN the pool....MSC inconsistency.
  9. Priority Service. When working probably, it gives priority to YC guests when an elevator is called. If the YC beach was closer, it would be more likely to be invaded by interlopers. As for the rocky beach, it wasn't always that way. A tropical storm undid all of the work that MSC did on that beach. I'd rather have excluded and rocky instead of crowded and smooth. Bimini Beach and Paradise Sands (adults only) are farther away but are also very nice. I'd have no problem if the Yacht Club took over one of those areas.
  10. Not allowed but whether or not you can get away with it is impossible to know for sure.
  11. If you're going to order from the kids' menu when at Teppanyaki, let the hostess know ASAP. It takes time to fetch the food from the other part of the ship.
  12. Your balcony will be partially enclosed (PrivaSea) since it is directly under the bridge.
  13. At times (to relieve the Haven Restaurant), Haven guests are offered lunch in a specialty restaurant on embarkation day. It can vary by ship and by restaurant. I've seen Food Republic offered on Escape. I think that the concierge works something out with the restaurant.
  14. You'll get better/more complete information by asking your questions here. MSC's "experiences" are different from the other cruise lines but they aren't really complicated.
  15. If it states 2, it can't be more than 2. Even though the baby won't sleep in a bed, it's still a person who must be accounted for especially for lifeboat capacity.
  16. Some interiors only sleep 2. Which ship and experience are you trying to book?
  17. You can either enjoy your cruise that was the price that you agreed to pay or you can be a Pouty McPoutypants during the cruise because some guests in the same stateroom category paid less than you did.
  18. Option A - tip based on what others tipped after their expectations and experiences. Option B - decide for yourself how much/little you tip based on your expectations and experiences. Only you can decide what is appropriate. It's your money so you can't get it wrong even if other forum members tip more or less.
  19. Were the cruises booked at the same time? If yours was booked before the last increase, you have the option to pre-pay at the lower rate. Otherwise, both of you will pay the higher rate.
