  1. I've been on Carnival and enjoyed them. The perk is a cheaper cruise than Royal and better food. I wouldn't touch one of their older ships, but the bigger, newer ships seem nice.
  2. Yuck, likely tons of rain all 3 of those days.😬 Doing this cruise in 2 weeks as well so keeping an eye on the tropics!
  3. They're usually on sale for a 24 pack for about $20-$22 so its worth it for me to have it delivered and waiting for our arrival. I drink a ton of water so I need it there and do not like the tap water.
  4. THIS⬆️⬆️ With Oasis going out with over 6K passengers it can't handle all of the cars, especially if another ship has already gone out and has cars in there
  5. For our cruise next month I redeemed points yesterday and they showed up today in our planner. That's the fastest ever!
  6. You can't redeem them for anything other than towards the price of a new cruise. I have used these once and only once as I did finally get them to allow me to put them towards the balance on the already booked cruise. Not worth the hassle and will never purchase them again. On CCL it was a piece of cake.
  7. With the greater possibility of cancellations due to positive covid tests I would guess they're waiting until much closer to sailing to give some of the upgrades. Plus, seems that the ships are sailing at 100% capacity so the cancellations may be the ONLY reason for some to get upgraded.
  8. Do you know if they were still allowing handicapped parking in the garage?
  9. I assume you know how to get into your cruise planner online? That's where it would be. It won't be in the app to my knowledge.
  10. It's hit-or-miss who gets the invitations to bid. I always have a group with me and some get the invite and some do not. Some get them 45 days or more in advance, some do not. But everyone can bid by going through the website without an invitation, but without it they haven't been able to more than 30 days out.
  11. Anything that will help lessen the crowds in the Windjammer is a win-win.
  12. That is correct. Big advantage to picking the earliest boarding time that you can when your check-in opens up. As soon as you board jump on the app and reserve your times.
  13. I know I sure wish I would have had the Key when we boarded the Ovation in June. The line was 1 1/2 hours outside the terminal and the Key had NO line. They walked right in and up the the check in.
  14. We are coming in on the Oasis and not really interested in venturing outside the port as we've sailed out of there many times and seen everything we care to see. But we wouldn't mind at least getting off the ship and having some drinks and/or some local seafood and I seem to remember reading that they were supposed to be building some business in/at the port. The only thing I may consider doing is an airboat ride if anyone has recommendations as well.
  15. Looks like we'll be at terminal 1 on the Oasis in October. Is there any bars/pubs within walking distance? Really not interested in the leaving the port area. Been there MANY times.
  16. Ours went down to $17.99 a day and so I got that and cancelled our Voom & Surf tat I paid $21.99 for. Not sure why they would do this? I almost feel like I'm being tricked!!😄
  17. Insurance companies are required by federal law to supply each insured individual 8 FREE tests per month. Why not use Onpoint proctoring where you supply your own tests and can do it at your convenience? Eezy peezy.
  18. Since the return from covid they've jacked up the prices. My sailing for Oasis in October is "on sale" for $78. That takes 6 drinks to break even. Since I get 4 free diamond drinks that means I'd have to drink 10 a day EVERY day to break even. There is definitely days I hit that but certainly not every single day.
  19. That seems to be common so I actually just got the regular Blue Amex card with no annual fee because I get no Royal offers on my Delta Amex that I pay for.
  20. I was on the Ovation in June in Alaska and they hot hot water kettles in all of the rooms. Is this a new thing??
  21. What time can we start check-in? I know it's 45 days. And what is the barcode trick??
  22. Insurance companies are required by federal law to provide each insured individual 8 tests per month FREE. My wife and I just picked up 16 tests. I will use these through one of the MANY online proctoring sites in October for our cruise. We did this in June with zero issues and total out of pocket cost was $20. Eezy peezy.
  23. I wish they would give discounts for diamond and above. I have always bought the package but now that we're diamond I'm on the fence due to the free drinks.
