Carnival doesn't lie, they just tell folks to put their phone in airplane mode so they don't get any roaming charges. There's no lie there. Folks who are OK accepting roaming are free to do whatever they want.

It is up to you obviously but you might want to consider transferring your cruise reservation to a competent travel agent who can help you with flights as well. We are unable to recommend specific travel agents on this board but I would recommend using a travel agent in general.

I don't know what else they could put in the Thrill Theater area on deck 6 of the Horizon or Vista, other than inside staterooms or a bigger arcade...not exactly high revenue stuff. They could rip out the entire multiplex, that would be a decent amount of space on 3 decks, but that's a huge undertaking and a major renovation for what is still interior space.

So the ones that don't say IMAX are played in the thrill theater, is that how it works?

I'm personally OK with the smaller size TBH - we eat too much as it is. I just hope that with the new smaller size they've adjusted the cook time so they're still melty.

I think a lot of people would say they cruise for the experience. But perks could certainly help when deciding which cruise / cruise line to choose.

AM5 is working great, thanks for asking! I built the machine exactly as I described - and I'm glad I built it when I did because a few months after I built, beQuiet released new cases and discontinued the case I bought. The new model has some features I don't want and removes some I do (like 5.25" bays). I had some stability issues with AM5 in the beginning, BSODs - but a few BIOS updates took care of that no problem. Frankly that's to be expected with a new platform, and the ASUS motherboard makes BIOS updates dead simple. I am using a 27" 4K Dell Ultrasharp which is working well. But honestly I think I am about to upgrade to a 43" 4K TV. Someone at work just put a 43" TV on their desk and it's super nice to have that much space, even at the same resolution as a monitor. I am an elder millennial now so bigger fonts are definitely welcome. Plus TVs have built in speakers so that's one less thing needed on the desk. And big TVs are so much cheaper than big monitors for some reason! My new desktop is running Cities Skylines 2 quite well, although I don't have any big cities in the game yet. I know with the original that was really when you started to notice performance issues, once population started to rise. It is on Game Pass so if you are a Game Pass member (or if you want to sign up) it doesn't cost anything to install it and try it out!

You'll probably still have some drug use on the ship, but I don't think there will be too many kids or fights on such a long cruise in January. Most of the problems with violence etc seem to be shorter cruises, particularly those over major holidays.

Frankly I'd take an ABC cruise on the Fantasy, God rest her soul, over another cruise to Nassau and Grand Turk...nothing at all against those ports. I love them and I will go back to them no doubt. But I've seen all I care to see of them for now.

As long as everything is decided beforehand and everyone agrees to it then it can turn out well. I personally have never participated in a slot pull but I have seen them in the casino before and they seem to be enjoyable for those participating.

3-4 months is fine if you are just inviting people as a formality and you don't actually want them to come, I guess.
