  1. Go to Carnival.com should show list once enter number
  2. Too funny I see me in your picture. Right in the middle with cranberry jacket and light blue back pack. Agree once they opened the lines we were non stop till on the boat.
  3. We were also on the cruise-so looking forward to reliving a GREAT cruise
  4. We are actually doing a B2B on the Celebration next year-first week is an Elite promotion second is DOU and free play. Found out I can use my second ride following second week cruise. So win win
  5. I think 40 miles is the most they will go. May want to check with PVP
  6. We were on a back to back and each had two bottles just went to two different security lines-no issues.
  7. We just got off an Elite on the Miracle-San Fran to Alaska Lost a port going out due to med evac but neat to see Coast Guard come and drop the basket down to get the patient and then raise the person back up-spinning like crazy as it was very windy. Pray they are ok We had limo pick up from airport with great communication-drop off at San Fran Hotel-Just gave tip to driver We opted to walk to the port in San Fran about a mile and a half but smooth sailing with the cases. When we got to the port they werent boarding so dropped cases with porters and kept back packs-usually $1 a bag Headed over to pier 39 from our check in pier of 35. Hardly any sea lions compared to 5 years ago. Came back to ck in line for our 11-11:30am time-met a great couple from Tampa Debbie and Mike that we saw throughout the cruise. Processed thru and on the ship around noon. Headed right to our muster. Rooms not open till 1:30pm unless suites. So even tho Platinum kept bags with us. Lunch in the buffet nothing special. A little before 1:30p headed to our cabin. Found keys outside room which indicated room done. Dropped bags and went exploring. Had been on this class of ship before so familiar with layout. Elite lanyards and schedule in room. Got luggage and unpacked. Elite meet in theater at 4:30pm-drinks and appes flowing. Lasted for an hour. Each evening had casino activities during the day and evening We were able to get drinks throughout the ship with no problems On evening we got a steakhouse selection for both of us and a bottle of wine in the dining room which was the best meal ever. Took some of the filet back and put in the fridge to have for breakfast the next day. We were on an Elite cruise to Alaska so our excursion was the White Trail Train out out Skagway as the other was a whale watching which we had already booked independently. Loved the time and scenery on the train. Originally booked for 1p but changed to 9am which allowed us time to visit the breweries in town after. If booked on later excursion talk to excursion desk about changing. They have to get ok from casino host. Got gifts in room every day to every other day-cups, speaker, champagne, cookies. Love the laundry. Don't miss the comedy shows-Bella the host is the best but think she may be out for a bit Table 372 main dining-Anita-Ni Huh, Malcom, Machelle, Bihau-The best team 100 percent. Lots of 11pm games for Elites-Matilda, Fill my bag, etc. Able to win $3000 so came home with money Great casino staff Heading out on Elite on Venezia end of Aug so hoping for find great things. Enjoy.
  8. We just got off back to back on Mardi Gras-had a suite the second week. We went to guest services and requested a lounger for the balcony and it was delivered. Asked our cabin steward and told have to talk to guest services. Still had two other chairs and table and had plenty of room
  9. We just did back to back on the Mardi Gras-had to meet in specific dining room by 9am-checked in and given new key cards. Once everyone off the ship we were walked off/on the ship. They did snap a facial recognition pic in port. Once back on the ship since we went from balcony to a suite we couldn't access till after 1:30pm. Pretty painless. You also get to take a back to back picture-they took two of us and neither turned out that good but didn't cost us anything.
  10. Looked like Chris was only doing 2 month stints (vacation fill ins) in order to be home more We love Chris and would love to see him more on ships but know family comes first
  11. We were just on the Mardi Gras-carried on 4 bottles of wine (2 pp) I did see a lady buy a bottle of J Lohr Cabernet from the Magnolia bar (retails for about $12) Carnival price $47 plus gratuity
  12. We just got off a back to back on Mardi Gras-I had drinks all over the ship for two weeks so could go to any bar. DH had DOU in the casino the first week and all over the second week. We thought the service while playing at the machines was great as I had read it was very slow. We tipped cash with drinks so servers did return to us. Sometimes walking up to the bar in the casino you had a little wait as the bartenders were servicing waiters, bar customers and walk ups.
  13. We just did a back to back on the Mardi Gras-first week we had a balcony and the second week a suite. Both weeks we had to wait till 1:30pm or so to gain access to our room. As has been mentioned the room stewards have 30+ rooms to tend to so definitely longer to turn over the cabins.
  14. We get a yearly policy from Allianz-around $485 for 2-if you are over 65 your health insurance does not cover you outside of the US so insurance is definitely needed. Allianz is great to work with. Just had to file a claim for delayed luggage.
  15. We just got off a Back to back on the Mardi gras about 3 weeks ago 1. We are Platinum and sent out laundry. I believe the benefit is per Platinum guest. So just use different Folio number to gain extra bags. We made sure to get the laundry out before 10am and got it back that evening. But that may vary by room steward. 2. Wine, beer and non alcoholic punch was provided at the Platinum cocktail party. They had the drinks set up outside the theater. Upon exit there were left overs so able to grab an extra. The drink was just added onto our Sign and Sail card. If you have the drink package this allows you one more in your daily total 16 not 15 for that day. 3. We had to go to the cashier and get the $25 added to our Sign and Sail card. You will have to put some money in the slot machine to access your free play. There is a display on the slot machines that will tell you when your free play is used up. If you do win you can just cash out to your sign and sail card. If you want the cash you would then take your Sign and Sail card to the cashier and tell them you want to cash out. 4. There are a wall of windows at Center Stage-decks 6,7, 8 that have many different areas to sit. If your daughter is over 18 the Solarium may be an option. There is plenty of seating outside Guys Pig and Anchor Smokehouse on Deck 6 aft. We went to Celestial strings twice. Once sitting up on deck 8 and the second time right by the stage on deck 6 (better view) Didn't find the shows were excessively loud but might be good to have ear plugs just in case. Hope this helps
  16. Hopefully your TP doesn't plug up the pipes. Single ply is for marine toilets.
  17. Just off Mardi Gras two weeks agi Guys burgers still good I would often time get without a bun Fries not the same have declined we did the smoke house for lunch not dinner also decline only decent meat was the pork hot sides were lukewarm at best
  18. So great to work with immediate response. Might be difficult for someone with mobility issues but they can get a $2 taxi to the meeting point.
  19. Check out Victor Bodden-have used them twice. Do have to walk outside and up hill but great experience. Just did Fun in the Sun $30
  20. We were in a suite second week of back to back and had to wait till 1:30pm. Check on the room and it wasn't even cleaned so didn't feel comfortable stashing stuff in the closet.
  21. We were on that cruise as well. Also our first back to back (changed cabins) Loved the ship walked about 5+ miles a day going from front to back. Food needs improving especially speciality dining (Steakhouse/Rudi's)
  22. Thanks all for input. Can't wait for Rudi's-Now do I do stuffed lobster tail or surf and turf-decisions decisions
  23. We are doing our first back to back on the Mardi Gras in a couple of weeks. Have booked Rudi's for Valentines day as we have some OBC and gift cards. I am reading mixed reviews. However last time we were at the Steakhouse on Carnival it wasn't top notch. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks
