    How is the very end of August? We are booked on the 8/26/23 Jewel, Seward to Vancouver.

    And the chartered guests get a huge discount also? One thing taken over a restaurant or club for a few hours, but totally another thing taking over a venue for the whole duration of the cruise.

    I definitely would not be happy at all. Also, I have never heard (read) about the Vibe being non available due to a charter--did not even cross my mind that it could be a possability.

    I was one of the posters with a lot of questions a few weeks back. Thank you for taking the time making the Alaska Railroad Map. It does make it easier to understand.

    We originally had a SC Penthouse Suite booked for our February 2022 sailing that was booked in 2021 before the changes. However, as far as I know, NCL did not grandfather any old amentities/benefits that were no longer included. We were given $200 OBC to make up for it. When we then upgraded ourselves to a Haven Penthouse Suite, we were allowed to keep the $200 OBC.

    Two cruises since February 2022 and no covid for us.

    My husband and I have taken two cruises since COVID, both double vaccinated and are very happy with this news. The industry has to move forward.

    They downgraded the amenities last December.

    So happy to read your vacation was everything you wanted it to be. I was hoping you would report back with experience and really enjoyed reading your trip report. We just got off the Joy a few weeks ago and our cabin was three cabins away from our previous 14178. While we also liked our non-Haven Suite, for us, nothing beats 14178 & 14778 for the price for a Haven cabin.

    Yes. It leaves at 6:30 a.m. and they will also tag your luggage to go directly on the ship. Www.alakarailroad.com is their direct website but we booked it through alaskatrain.com.

    We also recently booked this cruise for August 2023 and did a lot of research on how to get to Seward from Anchorage. We opted for the train and did upgrade to the Gold Star Dome. NCL offers this as an excursion, but we booked it directly as we wanted the earlier train.

    We always by liquor on our last night to use up our OBC.

    In Joy Haven this past February and had umbrella and no binoculars. There was also an umbrella in our non-Haven Suite a few weeks ago also on the Joy.

    Agreed! We are one and done for that time period. We were on the Escape during their first NYE sailing.

    Did you take the first morning train or the later train that NCL promotes?

    Another question: I know this change goes into effect January 1, 2023, but if you booked a cruise before the price increase but sail after January 1st, do you still get the water?

    So if you have two in the cabin taking the PBP, the free six pack of water comes out to $28? Or do you get two six packs?

    Thank you very much for the detailed information it is very much appreciated. I just want to confirm that on the morning train, our luggage would be checked in and then will end up in our cabin.
