  1. We had a Haven suite not in the Haven this past February on the Joy.
  2. We received our invitation to upgrade 110 days out for our September 1, 2022 sailing.
  3. I have been waiting patiently for our Joy cruise in September to start dropping. We booked in March and there has only been one drop which was in early April.
  4. You are welcome. And yes, you were extremely helpful. And no, we switched to the Epic recently. We are traveling with extended family and it got complicated. I put so much work into the planning, but as you stated above, there are so much worse things in life and we are still cruising.
  5. Thank you for taking the time to report back---and with pictures too!
  6. Rooting for her too! We were booked on a March 2023 sailing on the POA and I came across a lot of her posts when planning.
  7. We also enjoy the larger bathroom so for us, yes, it is worth it.
  8. I was able to apply a CNC to a fully paid cruise right after final payment. They refunded me the difference back to my credit card. I would think the same would apply using a FCC.
  9. And make sure you ask about the priority boarding which you are entitled to as staying in one of the non-Haven suites. NCL has been saying they are "aware" of the issue and are taking steps to fix it. Hopefully, this will be the first week it is "fixed".
  10. I do not think I have seen an updated one. The frustrating part is that when we original booked our February 2022 Joy sailing in November 2021, all of the amenities were included on the website even though they were at that time no longer listed on the PDF list.
  11. Unfortunately, yes they can. As the OP, I know first hand what happened to me. Now, we again have a Joy Suite booked this September and fear they will eliminate priority embarkation. In my latest e-mail correspondence last week, they acknowledged the issues at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal and stated they are taking measures to correct it. Whatever that means. Hope you and your family members are all feeling better.
  12. Good advice as I could not see mine, but it was there when I called.
  13. Wonderful news! Thank you for posting the updated information.
  14. Called in but it was very easy and fast. I knew the new cabins I wanted so that sped up the process.
  15. We always link our reservations. For one of the cruises we currently have booked, we have four cabins booked. Two weeks ago, we had to change the date and I was able to switch it for all the cabins even though my name is not on three of them. In the past when linked, I was also able to make all dining and show reservations.
  16. Thank you so much for posting the link to your wife's article and sharing your experience with us. Both the article and your responses here are very informative and well written. Kudos to both of you for handling the situation the way you did. Glad she is feeling better.
  17. This is exactly what we did in February and, fortunately, we did not need any of it. During our sailing, we met a lot of fellow passengers who did the same.
  18. Did you buy third party travel insurance? If so, maybe some of those costs can be reimbursed.
  19. Their mozzerella sticks are really good. Wish they would bring them back to O'Sheehans.
  20. Something is definitely up as the next available sailing is now showing as November 27, 2022.
  21. So sorry to hear this news. I get it, I would be extremely disappointed.
