Just off the Joy and our pre-purchased Vibe passes were coded to our room key. Went to the Vibe right after lunch. The wristbands were in an envelope in our cabin. Regarding shade, there was little to be had.

Very helpful topic. We are looking to purchase Anchorage to Seward for August 2023. Am I correct that the train goes directly to the cruise terminal? We will be on the NCL Jewel and are flying into Anchorage two days before our sailing. First time Alaska cruises so I have so much research to do.

My guess is yes! My brother-in-law asked for the 10% the week before and was told no. We have not told him yet he was a week late.

We just got off the Joy this morning. I inquired about the extra 10% discount and received it. If I did not ask, we would of not received it.

Really love the Tex-Mex idea. At one time, mozzarella sticks could be had for free at O'Sheehans. Would love for them to bring them back to the Local/O'Sheenhans.

That is also what I previously read.

When we sailed on the Joy this past February as a Haven guest, we ate lunch the American Diner. Next week, we will back to our usual lunch at Local/O'Sheehans.

Thank you for the Kayak recommendation as my husband loves kayaking. I believe he owns four. The helicopter tours is a definite no for me. We are looking at the Encore as it includes Glacier Bay.

Their government is doing what they think is best for them. We are happily complying on our sailing next week as when we booked, we knew the requirements.

The prosciutto one is absolutely delicious. Even my husband enjoyed it and he is not a huge prosciutto fan as I am .

Having sailed on both ships, my opinion is the Escape would be a better fit for your children. While the Joy has the carts and laser tag, they do cost additional money.

How about an itinerary that includes Dawes Glacier?

While I do prefer the new itinerary, I would not be too happy about the change as we book on where we want to go. We would cancel and re-book.

We have a group booking booked for June 2024 and I found the whole experience in booking it very confusing and I still have a few questions. In our case, we were first told we qualified by our PCC. Then we were told we did not qualify because one of the cabins had a third passenger. I then said to add that passenger to my son's cabin as his second passenger (and that would actually save us additional money). Then we qualified. Then it got kicked back again that we did not qualify because our cabin category ended in a number (Club Balcony with Large Balcony). So we had to switch to a Club Balcony room in order to obtain the group discount of 15% (which was again, my idea). The 15% was a significant savings as it is just not on the base price.

My husband and I are also on this sailing and purchased our passes on the phone as soon as they changed the procedure. Call or go online as soon as you can.

This issue has been an ongoing discussion since the Joy came to New York. As we are also in a non-Haven suite for an upcoming cruise, I have communicated with K Byrd's office a few times over the last couple of months. As Mking8288 stated, NCL is well aware of the situation and have stated they are trying to fix it, but, unfortunately, to no avail. However, I would definitely e-mail her office. There was another poster a few weeks back, Mike A, that gave a detailed account of how he handled it and we plan on taking his advice and handling it the same way.

We chose to eat at the American Diner instead of Haven also for this same reason. And the mozzarella sticks made our decision the right one for us and we would do it again.
