  1. The underwater world of Bora Bora ... taken at the coral gardens behind the Sofitel private island. 'Papa' feeding one of the eels.
  2. We received ours 2 days ago .... we received everything including the bag ...
  3. The French like the 14 night Marquesas itinerary. As they fly a long way and have 30 days of vacation time they prefer the longer cruises. PG has focused the summer months with many 14 night runs just for the French ... figure 2/3 of the ship will be French on the 14 night cruise and yes you will notice the difference ... more French influence ... North Americans are typically a bit more casual and easy going. nuff said ... Been on the PG 16 times ... I prefer the 10 and 11 night itineraries. Service is the best we've had on any ship. Though the ship is 25 years old she has been kept up well with frequent drydocks. Though Regent has big cabins I don't consider the PG small ... actually larger than some other lines.
  4. Inside the intimate wedding chapel at the Bora bora Thalasso Resort ...
  5. Historically Air France has been the lowest price for business ... but it is always expensive. I never fly business so it isn't an issue for us. If we can afford economy plus it is a good day ... Next cruise coming up shortly we paid $679 R/T economy on united out of SFO ... cheap cattle call.
  6. Usually there are self peddle and ebikes right at the tender drop off .... but you would want to be there early before taken by others.
  7. I'm Going to say this again ... though some people have been able to book more than one specialty reservation (one for each specialty restaurant) when boarding the official policy for the 10. 11 and 14 night cruises in one reservation in each of the specialty restaurants when you board and you can return halfway through the cruise and book again ... it really depends on the passenger load. If the ship is near full the official policy will likely be in effect ... if your lucky enough to make more than one in each of the specialty restaurants when you board good for you ... 16 trips on the PG ... enough said.
  8. Cruising past the Le Tahaa Resort which is right next to the famous drift snorkel on Tahaa ... Mount Otemanu on Bora Bora is 13 miles away ...
  9. We go to FP on a cruise at least 3 times per year ... maybe someday.
  10. I normally don't give my personal contacts but I know your not on the same cruise as I am .... so hopefully you connect with her ... We've known her for almost 30 years.
  11. Email Ghislaine ... she is a taxi driver on Moorea. gmahotu@gmail.com Give her a day or 2 to respond.
  12. Lovely Motu Mahana on the island of Tahaa. This is the BBQ fun day that PG puts on.
  13. Beach is nice but on the smaller size ... About 3 1/2 - 5 miles to the Hilton Some taxis but not many ... if you get one to get you to the Hilton make sure you pre-book for the same taxi to come and get you 😉
  14. Entering the lagoon of Rangiroa. I've been to several places within the lagoon ... but make sure you visit the 'Aquarium' if you have limited time on the island.
  15. Zipping along the lagoon of Bora Bora. Bora Bora is all about the lagoon. If you have only one day here make sure you take an excursion out in the lagoon. Mount Otemanu sits in the background of this picture ... from every angle of the lagoon the mountain looks different ...
  16. Thank you for the kind words .... Star Breeze in: October 2024 April 2025 June 2025
  17. Enjoying the day on Motu Mahana (Tahaa) Looking forward to visiting Motu Mahaea which is where Windstar takes their guest on Tahaa.
  18. Did I say the sunrise/sunsets in French Polynesia are incredible ... taken on the pool deck with the mascot mermaid.
  19. I'll keep it going for awhile longer ... hopefully others will enjoy and learn a tip or two. Getting up early to watch the sunrise has it's rewards. Sometimes the Capitan will glide into the lagoon of Bora Bora at night ... when you arise this is your view ... imagine enjoying this view with your first cup of coffee of the day.
  20. I have 3 cruises on the Star Breeze in 2024 and 2025. Your on the sailing ship. Have a wonderful time. I go next in October on the PG.
  21. No on making reservations prior to embarkation. After boarding go to Veranda and ask for the head waiter ... he will take your reservations for both places.
