A direct flight is not nonstop if that is what you were thinking Usually it stops someplace but no need to change planes Is there a non stop flight from Stockholm to YYZ? We have always had a connection when coming from ARN

We have been invited to dine with the Captain on Oceania so I guess it still happens this was pre covid Plus invited to dine with other officers ..concierge etc..

Maybe just ask for the new deposit rate without cancelling

Usually mid to late Sept they have sailing from the US or Vancouver Canada Then starting in Jan to Apr then Sep to Dec from California ports for R/T cruises Sept to Oct for Vancouver sailings maybe April they are usually one way or may return to the USA if you can travel in those time frames

You probably would have been dealing with the same issue if you booked your own Travelling right now & maybe the rest of the year may still have flight issues world wide JMO

Have you tried dealing with KLM since they cancelled the flight? It seems most airlines are experiencing crew shortages Just got an email from Air Canada they are cutting flights over the next several months to deal with staff shortages not only with their crew but with airport staff in many places I would talk to KLM staff at the gate & explain about your son maybe they will get him a seat with more legroom at the least

Depends on the cruise line Check on the forum for your cruise line I would think ships tours would be listed by now on their website

As I get older Business class become more desirable We did the lie flat seats on A/C & it was the best sleep ever it was worth the added expense We did PE coming home from the UK onetime the seats were by the engines so even the extra leg room & space was good the noise factor was terrible If doing PE check the location Only you can decide what works best for you

I usually use my Tangerine Debit card to get cash the fee was very small so I am not too worried about it I also get cash at the currency exchange here it is still better than using a CC with the FTF I like to have a small amount of local cash in case the CC is not accepted We also have Home Trust Visa card with no FTF WE usually do not buy a lot of expensive things when travelling so if there is a fee along the way it is not worth worrying about JMO

just buy USD & take them with you Get a USD VISA card from TD or CIBC along with a USD account so you can buy USD when the rates are good then pay the VISA cc The cruise lines do not charge the same rate as the daily bank rate

just like most airports find you airline check in counter if you see a long line make sure you get in the line for first class or do the self check in then follow the signs to the boarding area ..you will go through several check points to get there They have machines that you put your passport in & the gate opens then on to the next area Head to the first class lounge (not DL)..when we were there pre covid they were limiting the number of people in the lounge so you want to go early as you may have to wait to get in Lots of things to do in the terminal after you pass the security shopping etc.. http://www.amsterdam-advisor.com/schiphol-airport-map.html

I am only seeing 4 cruises in 2023 on Marina that visit Geiranger If your goal to see that port with O then I would switch sailings JMO

I agree we had changed a cruise pre covid & had a right ding dong with the insurance to change the dates even though we were still going in the same city & date but the cruise was longer by 4-5 days so had to get permission etc.. In the end it worked out but it took several calls to the ins company
