Compare what the airfare is doing it yourself then see what it will be with Oceania including the deviation fee I would never just take Oceania air without asking for the flights I want & paying the fee if they can get it less than I pay with the airlines Do your homework

As it stands now if you have a cruise booked you get the deal that was current at the time of booking (unless you choose to upgrade to SM) So up until July 1st you got the Specialty restaurants I believe the NEW FREE is just marketing JMO Of course things could change at any time Oceania decides 😉

Yes you can switch just check how much more it will cost you & what perks you may lose in the process

We buy insurance to cover the full trip Twice I have had to use it the only cap was the coverage we paid for $15000.00 refund the only cost was the insurance premium we got all our money back otherwise I think the premium at the time was $500 PP 2nd trip we had to leave the ship 5 days into the 15 day cruise DH had a gallbladder attack prorated refund included a tour I had pre booked in Wales Make sure you understand what you are buying with insurance policies & what is covered

The bottom line if you have a cruise(s) already booked check the new SM price against what your current amount is (bottom line) Then see what you will gain/lose by switching If the difference is minimal then it may be worth switching Only you can decide what works best for your needs/wants YMMV

Most of the small cruise lines have drinks included of some description I could live with that what I do not want is to pay for the excursions I do not take Will have to weigh the pros & cons of other lines we are interested in & Oceania or maybe just fly someplace & explore the area If O had included the drinks at lunch/dinner fine but leave the excursions as a package deal your can opt in/out of or pay for those that you want Time will tell if this comes back to bite them in the pocket book or they become the most popular line at sea JMO
