  1. I booked thru a TA so my TA emailed me the updated confirmation. BUT I was the one who had to deal directly with HAL to obtain the AARP credit on each cruise not my TA.
  2. We booked 3 cruises for 2025 and the AARP credit is noted on the confirmation. Of course I had to call twice and have a supervisor intervene to get the credit applied. IMO HAL is struggling with this credit and getting it applied, which should NOT be happening.
  3. Havanna is the ONLY way I would cruise Carnival Vista or Excel class after one cruise on Vista class.
  4. @MeganGC1983..safe travel home and HUG your kids tight!
  5. @MeganGC1983so sorry you had to experience this. Unfortunately I am afraid it is more the norm in today's society. Kids run the home not the parents. The rowdiness and loose canons is one of the reasons we have moved on from Carnival. Even back in the 90s when Carnival allowed under 21 to drink it was not as bad as it is today. Saw my fair share of high schoolers lose it while sitting at the bar. Lean over and let loose on the deck but no verbal abuse or running wild like today. Hang in there you do a great job with your own kids.
  6. Holy crap where is the sigh button......did she not have a helmet on? Feel for her for sure.

  8. @Saint Greg...drop me an email have something to share with you but not on CC susanand. at. G. Mail. Com
  9. @MeganGC1983....some wisdom from this ol lady.....recovery from a "good time" takes a lot longer as we biologically age.....now you have an idea as to why I am now a "light weight" and fine with that...I no longer enjoy the recovery process, steady and even wins my race!
  10. I think it is safe to say that the majority of cruises are smooth sailing, hence the Captain and crew have a fairly smooth job as well. Hopefully fellow passengers will have a greater appreciation for the hard work the Captain and ALL the crew to keep everyone safe. I know I never take them for granted.
  11. That is exactly what happened to us as Central Florida residents..same ol same ol ports just a different ship. Now trying out west coast destinations and loving it!
  12. What is that in the hot dog rolls, it sure doesn't look like lobster, looks more like may salad.
  13. @Saint Greg...I am betting your own bed is going to feel mighty good tonight...sleep well my friend. Another journey safe in the books!
  14. We lived in Central Florida for over 40 years so we drove to all the ports. Now we are fulltime in our RV and we no longer reside in Florida so we drive to the port of San Diego which is only 2-1/2 hours from where we winter. But I have wanted to get him to Alaska and finally it will happen, God willing, in 2025. We are taking a 6 day repositioning cruise from San Diego to Vancouver then a 14 day cruise in Alaska from Vancouver. More than likely we will take Amtrak back south but I have time to figure that all out. I have a flight booked on AA for this coming November to fly to the east coast to visit family and AA has already changed my flight times once now we wait and see how many more times they change.
  15. Well now, guess that is ONE thing I do not have to worry about booking air with ANY cruise line because my other half will not fly! Guess that settles that discussion for me anyway. WELCOME HOME @Saint Greg!
  16. I knew today would be interesting! Carry on my friend you got this!
