  1. Bought? This is some of the sourdough made by myself and my sister in law(her birthday present) at a Bread Ahead baking course the day before we embarked in this cruise, I had to give away all of mine except for the baguette which made lovely traveling sarnies
  2. To be honest the wiggly cliff road wasn't the issue, it was reversing at the top of the mountain with a massive drop either side I wasn't so keen on..
  3. I'm not sure she feels she missed out after speaking to our table mates. Also our tour never went to Fira, so those views were never an option. She is looking forward to Cephalonia tomorrow though
  4. Yesterday's Santorini visit and today's Daily Programme have now been published https://blog.rakkor.uk Luckily we never had the tribulations that @sogne had with the cable car as our shore excursion left from the new port at Athinios, but we had the cliff road to negotiate which was a scary proposition
  5. Our tablemats said it was awful, not helped by the MSC tenders being disembarked half way along the queue
  6. @NE John Unfortunately I've not got @rafinmd's scanner so I'm unable to post the daily menus in real-time they will have to wait for my return, but we've not had any noticeable Greek dishes on the PG menu. We did have a chicken pitta as a lunch sandwich and I've seen honey cake but no Kleftiko or Stifado so far Yesterday's Blog and today's Daily Programme have been posted https://blog.rakkor.uk
  7. Free - but you need to sign into Cunard Guest WIFI to access it
  8. Yesterday's blog of our visit to Crete has been uploaded as had today's Daily Program for Piraeus - go to https://blog.rakkor.uk to view
  9. I started with the good intentions of photographing my dinner dishes, and got as far as the asparagus appetizer The the tandoori lamb cutlets arrived and I promptly forgot about anything else
  10. This evening's sunset is leaving Crete
  11. Latest post and Daily Programme uploaded https://blog.rakkor.uk I was given one task this morning, do the laundry - I loaded it all correctly, set the correct settings and set it off. When I went back 40 minutes later the door light was still flashing and it hadn't started, I nudged the door and it started properly this time - soooo mad!
  12. Sorry it's a typo on my part ";" instead of ":" in the URL should be https://blog.rakkor.uk
  13. VID_20231007_115938~2.mp4 Apparently this is a whistle according to Captain Hoyt
  14. Much better - I'm desperately hoping I've not passed it on to Jane or our table mates, or I'm not going to hear the last of it
  15. I'm a bit slow updating the blog today, myVoyage has been down since the itinerary change, some were saying it was down to people crashing the intranet trying to change their shore excursions, but that seems a bit far fetched to me - anyway both yesterday's blog and today's Daily Programme are now available at https;//blog.rakkor.uk
  16. This will be out second visit to Crete, both times because of a rearranged schedule, the last time was because we couldn't get into Ephesus because of the abortive coup attempt in Turkey
  17. That was my first thought, which was why we bought a test kit in Cadiz which thankfully came back negative.
  18. It could be a cold, but it just feels worse than that, washed out, aching all over etc. But then again I am a bloke so you never know
  19. Captain Hoyt has just announced an itinerary change as part of his 12 o'clock announcement - apparently Mykonos is going to be too windy to tender safely so we will be going to Crete instead
  20. I've posted yesterday's rather boring blog and today's Daily Programme https://blog.rakkor.uk I really didn't do much yesterday, as I'm full of the Flu which is a surprise since the flu jab is the one inoculation I've had this year, I can only assume that this strain wasn't on the list that they chose the jab from. I'm aching all over and the Spanish Lemsip doesn't seem to do anything plus there isn't anything for a cold in the ships shop. Jane had the bright idea of getting dome lemon and honey at breakfast, so I've just had a homemade Lemsip, so let's see how I fare with that
  21. Yesterday's Cadiz Blog episode and today's daily programme have been uploaded to my blog at https://blog.rakkor.uk
  22. I'm far too young, almost a callow youth - I had my flu jab a couple of weeks back
