I assumed it was from the same source as the water served in the MDR, I don't know if this is "general ship's water" or special filtered drinking water - Either way Jane was fine with it, I don't drink during the night so never tried it.

Rich Tea biscuits on the Queen Anne cheese selection?
rakkor replied to kmw350's topic in Cunard Line
If it's a hiccough, then it's one that gets repeated. We had exactly that selection on the Cruise to Nowhere post Covid -
More importantly have they stopped the abomination of serving Rich Tea biscuits with the cheese ? Asking for Jane as she needs to know!

It's a bit of a temptation, especially with the new ports

I was very disappointed with the Commodore's selection last October, so much so that I'm now going to wait until embarkation before buying in November - No more Fizz, Port or even Rose
-
A little reminder for the copious water drinkers, in Britannia, without the Drinks Package is that Room service will provide a jug of Iced water on request that can then be put in the fridge - something we only discovered recently
-
I created the Chart Room menu PDF while onboard in October from the Menu on the Cunard app, so it is as current as anything I've seen. Edit - Actually not true I created the Gin & Fizz one one the 18th October Gin and Fizz menu.pdf

It's from 15th October, but feel free to post a more recent one - It was only intended as a guide - my point about the drinks package is it's not very good value, unless you can consistently drink 7 drinks per day, which I couldn't and even less value if you have a half decent amount of OBC

Re: The drinks package, here's a fairly recent Chart Room drinks menu from QV to give you an idea of the prices (all are +15% gratuity) - I've toyed with the idea of a drinks package, but I would really struggle to make it pay - I could easily drink enough on a given day, but not every day, each to their own though. For our 14 night cruise the drinks package is $2016 for the two of us Chart Room Menu.pdf

500ml cans

We were back in Briannia for a short cruise last September, I'd forgotten what a nice "vibe" the restaurant had compared to the Grills.

Looking at that menu and reading some of the recent QM2 reviews, I struggle to see how people find the food boring and tasteless on board - I know food is subjective, but I'd happily order everything one that menu except goats cheese tart, since that is the work of the Devil

No, if everyone goes against the tide it's conformity - sorry for the pedantry

The QV Chart Room menu from last October's cruise list Fentiman's Brewed Ginger Beer, whether they actually have it available is a moot point, they didn't have any Dandelion & Burdock when requested. Chart Room Menu.pdf

The gym is free - some classes are extra chage

This was from our TA in 2019 - it was certainly open at 7am and the promenade deck is a nice way of cooling down after a run on the treadmills

I'm not sure it would, Whispering Angel was included in the Commodore's wine package, and those wines tend to be in excess of $60 per bottle or $15 for a medium glass. I've just had a look at the chart room menu from last year on QE and it looks to be just outside the limit for a small glass

Has anyone seen the PG bathrooms yet - are they still shower over bath ? If so I'm envious of the Britannia guests being able to get their hair wet - PG showers on QE/QV are chest height for me.

Same - He tried the Indian pop-up on QV and it was very nice, but I'm not sure I'd pass over an evening meal in the Grills restaurant for this even with my Diamond perk unless there was nothing we really fancied at all
