P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?
Angel57 replied to Host Sharon's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Good morning….. I hope everyone stays safe over the next 48hrs with storm Ciaren blowing in later today. I must admit I cancelled an outing for tomorrow as the south coast looks like it’ll get a pasting. No trick or treaters last night thankfully (probably due to the heavy rain) - I dislike what is basically begging, but appreciate it is fun for young children to get dressed up and i have no issue if they are neighbours kids and have asked me beforehand. Have a good day. -

Depending on what is causing the limp, it might be worth trying Teddy with Yumove joint supplement tablets (one a day taken as treat). Freddie was diagnosed with a mild form of a luxating patella 4 years ago and it has helped immensely with the condition not worsening. -
Can Lady S please 🙏 take a photo of you kissing the pavement in Funchal tomorrow…….🤣🤣🤣

Oh goodness, that is a bit noisy….. Glad you managed to get some Avomine from reception. Personally I find it more effective than stugeron.

Oh no. I live not far from Bournemouth and we have had more than enough rain already. But the forecast is not good! -

@brian1 that looks a hearty breakfast but I’m sure I’ve heard there are less calories when there’s an extra hour in the day - plus, it’s your birthday….have a great day. 🎉🎂🎈 -

Good morning all, I did remember to alter the bedroom clock last night, but Freddie (daft cockapoo) obviously cannot tell the time….. You need a degree to change the oven clock so I cover it up as it is about 6 hours out, following a power cut a few months ago! After heavy rain yesterday I’m hoping today may be a little better. -
Most definitely alcohol helps 🤣 but if you prefer, you can get Avomine tablets from reception if required,

Menu looks good to me and far better than preparing anything for myself and then having to tidy up….. Have a fab cruise @Selbourne and I hope the Bay hasn’t too many potholes. The weather in Dorset this afternoon has been dreadful.

I was in C181 (the balcony was pictured earlier) this year which is exactly on the opposite side to C154. It was quiet and stable.

Amsterdam Xmas Market cruise Aurora 27th November
Angel57 replied to cruzadict's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
I did a two nighter on Oriana about 10 years ago. it was a very different experience to my normal Oriana/Aurora cruises but that didn’t make it any less enjoyable. Everyone was up until the early hours and everyone looked bleary eyed the next morning. If you did decide to go, it is a great short break, but just not what you would normally expect from a 2 week cruise. We saw no really bad behaviour. But if you are concerned then listen to that voice within you and do something else. -
The better balconies are on B deck and those deluxe ones are very nice but are costly by comparison. If you use the balcony a lot I would certainly go for those, but the C deck ones are very acceptable. Photo attached of my C deck balcony a few months ago.

The one comment I would make is that both are in school holidays (altho Britannia at the very end) so Aurora may well be the better option being Adults only. Aurora does indeed have a retractable roof which would be closed in inclement weather. Cabin wise I would opt for mid ship B deck (better balcony) on Aurora or failing that C deck. A deck is fine, but check what is above you for noise. I have never sailed on Britannia so cannot comment on her. Both look great cruises tho.

I tend to agree. I’ve been to one where a husband and wife attended every day it was held. For those who may feel alone thru a loss of a partner or feeling lonely for whatever reason then the travelling alone group is to help them feel that there are others on board in a similar situation to theirs - to have a couple attend to talk about what they have done together on board is not always helpful, however lovely that couple may be.

@P&O SUE I’m so sorry to read your post this morning. What a sad time for you and your family. How is your Mum doing? So glad you were able to be with your Dad at the end and that he was surrounded by all those who he loved and who loved him. No one can ask for more than that and this will give you all so much comfort in the times ahead. Sending a virtual hug. Gill x -
I agree. I’ve never noticed any kitchen aromas on the port side. I’ve stayed in D176 and D182. Great location.

My opinion is that those responses are not good enough and I would not be happy to wait until on board to get them sorted (especially the cot). I would try contacting them again as you may have got an inexperienced person answering the phone at P&O. I’m assuming you booked online, as opposed to one of the cruise specialists that many of us use? I suspect the latter would have been able to answer /sort out your issues before parting with your deposit. But hindsight is a wonderful thing….. Good luck.

I like Aurora’s cinema, but only gone a couple of times. I did saw Titanic on board many moons ago. It was quite a idd feeling and there were not many people in there!! Can’t think why!!
