  1. The beach house got pretty booked up within the first 24 hrs of boarding. Never had a problem with getting into Glasshouse.
  2. You haven’t been able to pre-book restaurants on Aurora before getting on board for quite a while. Suggest you do it as soon as you on there. Enjoy your cruise. We had a great time in June.
  3. So, so sorry Michelle. What a beautiful dog with such fabulous eyes. I send my love to you and Freddie sends licks. Gill x
  4. Oh what a shame. I used to live near Goodwood and it is indeed glorious- but not in this weather.
  5. Ooh, that looks grim. The pictures from Brighton on the tv look horrendous.
  6. Thanks Graham and you are right about the cost. About £5200 for the two implants and that does not include the extraction today (£350). But hey ho, I’m otherwise healthy and that is the most important thing. Gx
  7. Thanks Jane. He did warm me about dry socket. Luckily my dentist is only a 5 minute drive away. Gx
  8. Raining here in Dorset and pretty miserable. Plus, I’ve just had two teeth out. Cannot believe the cost of a dental implant….. I could have a couple of cruises for that price and I know which I’d rather spend my money on!
  9. Seeing as the window cleaner has just been, I predict rain here in the next hour!!
  10. that……99.9% of passengers are quite happy to queue outside the terminal in all elements for over over an hour after their allotted boarding time 🙄
  11. Yes. There was a queue for all those arriving earlier than their boarding time (albeit only 40 mins). I have been Caribbean or above for many years and always had a boarding time of either 12.30 or very occasionally 1215 I believe the holes for the luggage open around 1100
  12. @Selbourne Admittedly it was on Aurora a few weeks ago at Ocean Terminal, but CPS said to arrive between 30-40 mins before boarding time. I got there at 1140 and there was only one car in front of me in the queue so was in the naughty queue for my 1230 boarding at 1150. Earliest and first lot of boarding was at 1200 and they stuck to that time. Security didn’t seem to open up until 1230. CPS said they can never judge when everyone is going to turn up.
  13. These are my ports of call next year so am interested in replies! Stavanger is very easy to wander around yourself and no shuttle is usually required. Olden is gorgeous - cruisers on another site recommend Olden Adventures as they are cheaper than P&O tours. The other two ports are new to me so am still deciding what to do. I understand there’s not a lot in Haugesund itself, so will try and do a trip there.
  14. Hemto tags from Amazon are excellent and strong and less faffing!
  15. I’m not sure about the medical condition side as I only take medication for high blood pressure, but an annual policy with Liverpool Insurance (am in mid 60s) just cost me £79 for cover in Europe. Each missed port is £150 compensation. I have other insurances with LV so get a 10% discount. Bizarrely an annual policy only cost me an extra £15 in comparison to a 7 day policy with them.
  16. All the outside cabins I’ve had on D deck and E deck have had big square windows.
  17. So will that be “do you think I’m sexy” or “hot legs”……🤣🤣🤣
  18. My heart goes out to you as I know how I would be feeling and it is what we all dread…..😘
  19. That’s good to know. I had friends on board so will pass that info on as always good to know of a happy outcome.
  20. I’ve just had a day out. Leaving home at 7am this morning and on joining the M27 around 7.30am google maps diverted me off the M27 due to an accident ahead with long delays. I then found myself on the M271 and then over the familiar flyover when you see the ships docked at Mayflower Terminal. I couldn’t believe my luck as Aurora was in and looking fabulous in the sunshine. And then as I went past Ocean Terminal - there was Ventura. So for once, I really quite enjoyed my diversion this morning! Hopefully no one was seriously injured in the accident.
  21. Something you might want to consider is booking the The Retreat for the week. It will already be available to book and will probably cost around £120 for the week which I know might stretch resources, but….. It’s an adults only area and numbers are limited. I’m a solo traveller and going on Iona in June so some of the info you have been given is useful for me too (eg being able to pre-book a shared table for around 6.15) as I’m normally on the smaller P&O ships! I’m sure you will have a wonderful time.
  22. I would agree about Tunis. One of the few places where I felt distinctly uncomfortable……
