  1. It isn't true, but if it was, the other cruise lines will fall like dominoes.
  2. One can hope. I did like the casino on Regal Princess but I didn't try the tables.
  3. Princess has a Chef's Table, and also the 360 Experience on a couple of ships. 360 goes for $149 for non-suite guests. Carnival could be going more upscale, or perhaps letting the Chef prepare a real Chef's Table of his/her choice, or... The regular Chef's Table could still offer a fleet standard menu.
  4. Some include a Galley Tour and there may be other differences. Carnival seems to be testing a new experience above a normal Chef's Table. If successful, it could be rolled out to more ships. Both could be offered on a cruise if there is sufficient demand.
  5. A very misleading title. Chef's Table is only $90pp on Carnival Valor.
  6. Obviously a meal unique to those three ships, and perhaps unique to each one.
  7. A lot of people don't sail on Carnival but still post here. How bizarre.
  8. They have done this for special casino tournaments - the casino took over Take 5 on Discovery one cruise in October. Perhaps that is still the case.
  9. I'll take a guess... To distribute the work load among the staff who may otherwise have no tables to serve.
  10. Now I'm curious. You can be Green Lane having the medallion shipped whether or not you receive it. I may try keeping it my pocket, going Green Lane and see what happens - if they will pick up a new medallion for me. I suppose to complete the ruse, wear an old medallion.
  11. So? Carnival's cruise line; Carnival's rules. But... It is not illegal to bring camouflage clothing into many countries, but you might have a problem if you wear it. It is not Carnival's job to stay current on all laws and customs in foreign ports. If the dog hits on the vape pen, guess what?
  12. A new design, but parts will resemble Excel class, and largest casino Princess has on a cruise ship.
  13. Living in the past is only going to get increasingly expensive. Better to enjoy it sooner than later, and if too late, poof. There is a reason Royal cut Azamara loose. The next Princess ship will be ginormous.
  14. If you are on Discovery, right now it is free for everyone. Who knows how long that will last.
  15. When it's a slow news day, ship happens. To say there is a lot of embellishment is an understatement. If you cruise at holiday periods or during the summer, kids are everywhere.
  16. For better or worse, I updated my Android phones with the update that came out a couple of days ago, before they pull it for good. We'll see what a stress test does to the new app In a few days.
  17. Obviously the most popular cruise line will have more of everything. You don't find it curious that the Carnival forum attracts many people who don't cruise on Carnival, yet find their way here to trash talk the cruise line?
  18. Princess has experimented with having non-smoking nights in the casino. It didn’t stick.
  19. No. Because a loudmouth drunk is a loudmouth drunk and obnoxious regardless of cruise line. They aren't limited to Carnival. I live my own life and make decisions based on my personal experiences and not Internet hearsay. With experience comes wisdom, grasshopper.
  20. Not if you embark in one US city and disembark in a different US city without a distant foreign port stop. Distant as in a port in a different hemisphere. With only a few exceptions ( like Puerto Rico). It isn't a Princess rule, it is US law
  21. More proof that Google doesn't know everything. On a recent cruise, there was a loud mouth drunk bragging that he was banned from Carnival. This was on a Princess cruise. I'm thinking a ban from Carnival should carry over to other cruise lines under the Carnival Corp umbrella, but it doesn't. That must mean Princess has lower standards than Carnival?
