  1. Thanks for the review. I hope to sail Celebrity one day. I agree that 5 day cruises are not the best measure of a mid scale cruise line like HAL and Celebrity.
  2. That is an excellent idea. I don’t know if I would partake but it might at least be a consolation
  3. Multiple dining venues along with HIA is spreading the crew and therefore the sevice thin. There is only so much room on a ship for kitchens, there is only so much capacity for crew. I assume we have the same number of kitchen/dining personnel per capacity as we had 20 years ago. How on earth do they think they can maintain standards with that math?
  4. There is the new system at some airports where your identity is linked to all of your fares. Last time at the airport all I showed was my driver’s license. Perhaps that now applies to marine passengers too?
  5. . Preparation and organization are personal attributes not dictated by which technology one uses. I have seen plenty of paper fumblers.
  6. I take those tours often, a perfect farewell tour. Domestically they get you to the airport at least 2 hours early. I have never used them for international flights
  7. That I can’t answer. I was solely addressing the after final payment, ticketed fare with a change of schedule event. If you are before final payment with flexible air you can make any and all changes without fee , penalty and by using the flight ease website. Every other circumstance needs to be dealt with directly with flight ease and may have fees.
  8. I don’t print but I have two digital copies, one in my digital wallet and one on the app. I have shown them when I board. That and my vaccine card and passport
  9. No, Canada has not changed their Covid policy since the last sailing season. The season opens late April so fingers crossed Canada will update their policy to the lower standard
  10. Yes, that is what you do. They give instructions on the protocol page
  11. Read the text again. It should allow self administered PCR or antigen test. The verbiage is a bit convoluted. If I recall correctly the only place where you will need a medically observed test is Canada and they aren’t sailing there yet
  12. They will only deal with you if they changed their schedule significantly. Equipment changes are not included.
  13. I was speaking of when the airline makes a significant change. If you are changing yourself you will need to pay a fee and that will be through the contractor, flight ease
  14. If you are already ticketed you can manage changes. US law and American Airlines policy allows you to change the booking if there has been a substantial change. Sign up for an American Airlines frequent flier, download the app and you will be notified . Not only will you be notified but when you go to the website they will present other alternatives. flight ease is simply a service and has no control over flight schedules. I use them mainly for their sometimes incredible international rates and for the ability not to pay until final payment date.
  15. The OBC granted by a HAL booking can only be used onboard and for just about everything. I think the only ban is casino but some have been able to use OBC for casino. There may be confusion here on the forum but that is pretty much the way it has been for a very long time
  16. If the travel insurance is the same as here https://www.barclaycardus.com/servicing/img/base/guideBenefits/BAR-4661-9_MW.pdf it is not a robust policy. I will stick with Chase. A credit card with no annual fee and decent travel insurance would be a find.
  17. There was a recent story about a Princess cruise where many Canadian passengers were denied passage for some passport/visa snafu. You can travel to the US without a full passport, you can use a Nexus card
  18. I have not seen a major increase in prices, that is, increases compensatory with inflation. That I think is their issue. They have to find a way to successfully raise prices
  19. I wasn’t aware it had travel insurance, I will give it a look. Can you provide a link. The link I found did not show travel insurance
  20. Did you check the airline to see if Premium Economy is available at all? Sometimes it is just not available, that would not be a flight ease issue. I agree with @Sea42 - when the wait is too long let the TA do it or do it online.
  21. I am pretty sure that was a Panama Canal cruise and I also think the some passengers in question were Canadian?
  22. Yes, flight ease is bundled into your cruise invoice. Then you can pay your invoice with gift cards. Now if you are buying only the flights, I am not sure if they will accept gift cards for payment.
  23. Maybe you will get lucky and have decent internet then he can Bluetooth from his device to his earbuds.
  24. Movies aren’t the only media. I mostly watch streaming through YouTube where I can get high quality current news especially economic news. but no, they do not allow us Bluetooth connectivity
