Back on the ship I went to trivia at noon and finally won a medal. A Sos would be nice but the medal is nice too. It was a whale tail on a 50th anniversary necklace. Very nice. Lunch was nice. I went to the deli for a chicken salad sandwich. I asked for it on a wrap and she couldn't so it. She said they were low on wraps. I got it on the regular bread instead. It was tasty and a good addition to the menu. It's a lot of bread and I think I will try to get the wrap again on a different ship.

Amber cove is perfect for my mom. She loves going out and doing some shopping and then heading back to the ship. That was exactly what Amber cove was built for. She made her way through the shops and we even found a chocolate store we haven't seen before. Not sure if it is new or we just haven't noticed it. They have out samples which were very good and we bought a few. It was warm out and I was tired so I didn't feel inspired to take many photos but I got a couple. Price check.

Good morning everyone. Very restless nights sleep. The pillows are just too flat to be of any use. On the plus side, I just did a speed test and internet is at 17mbps which I didn't even know ship internet could achieve that speed. Getting ready and then heading into amber cove.

While that is technically true, I have literally never once been charged the difference except one time when I was still gold and could order at any bar. I went to Alchemy where the drinks were more expensive than a standard cocktail. Other than that, never. Have you had a different experience?

I'm not really tired but I'm going to try to get some sleep so we can get going in amber cove before it gets too hot in the morning. The internet is blazing now. I really hope it is still working this good tomorrow.

Thought tonight was going to be my night to win a drawing. Sixteen prizes to give out. We were all given two playing cards. They had to have drawn about half the deck before all prizes were given out. With a card each one of us should have won but no such luck.

I was surprised it's the high. The ship is barely rocking and I did my walking on deck 3 with no problem. I would prefer the walking track on 11.

Decks 10 and 11 have been closed off. Winds outside are 52mph but you can't feel it.

Part of me doesn't want to put the phone down now that the internet is working again. But I've got to stay on top of my exercise routine so off I go. Casino drawing at 11. They say there will be over 15 winners. Hopefully I can be one of them.

Spend the rest of my day relaxing in the room and steamroom. Or arguing about crappy internet. I didn't bother with dinner pictures because honestly I didn't expect the internet to come back for a while...or at all. I did get one of the pork tart because it is a different presentation. Can't really tell from this picture but it is a deeper dish instead of two small shallow tarts. It was still very yummy. Dining room has been slammed the last two nights but the dining room team has done a real good job keeping up with the demand.

After the diamond lunch we wandered through the shops. There was supposed to be a 2/20 t-shirt sale but it was canceled. Something about the new shop vendor. Didn't catch the whole reason, but there were no sales with the old vendor either. Hennessy white price check. There are about a half dozen displays around the store. Unless they don't stock up again for a while there will be no shortage of it on this ship.

The diamond lunch was nice. It is a small menu and I ordered the same thing I did last time but everything I ordered was good. Those at my table who ordered the steak all complained it was too tough. Pork belly. My mom's papperdele. Sea bass. Hazelnut and malted chocolate.

I honestly thought it was a gimmick. No way they are really using glacier ice. Then I saw they actually had a chunk of it behind the bar. Lots of people bought it, it was very popular. As far as I know know they all survived 😅

On a premiere cruise, supposedly everyone has an equal chance. Everyone has an entry instead of an entry for every 100 points. It's been a while but I have had my name drawn a couple times on a premiere. This is the smallest group I have ever seen for a premiere so I should have better odds if we do in fact all have an equal chance.

I'm not even a germ freak. I drank from the hose as a kid and if it was a hot day and I was outside, you know what, I'd still drink it. But even I thought, glacier ice? That doesn't seem very sanitary. Alas, I did not try it, I do not like tequila at all. Gross. If Steven needs a technical advisor please give him my information.

The only crew change I noticed were the shops. A new company has taken over and a new set of employees are working there. Other than that it seems to be just the normal rotation that happens weekly. Staffing levels are at 95% and I have experienced no areas that seem understaffed, except for guest services after midnight and heard second hand that someone went by at 4am and it was closed but I cannot verify that. I do not know if Grand Turk was on this itinerary but it is not now. I thought it was but there has been no mention of a port substitution. It would not be the first time I boarded thinking we were going somewhere and I was mistaken. Enjoy your cruise, it's a great ship with a great crew and better food than I've had recently on carnival. Don't buy the internet.

The internet has been down all day again. I tried having a reasonable discussion with guest services and was told no credit would be extended. I pointed out its not been working for over two weeks and they had two stops in Miami to resolve the issue. They claim this is a different issue. Even though connectivity has been spotty since. Still, no credit. But I am not getting the product you sold me. Sorry, no credit. Then things broke down as other guests started yelling. As if my cool, calm, but firm tone was getting me nowhere but yelling was going to magically produce better results. I will be following up with Carol the guest services manager and move up the chain until I am satisfied. I have never in all my cruises been so disappointed in the internet service. It isn't that it's just slow, it is slow and constantly down for 15 minutes at a time. Every. Single. Day. Multiple times. And slow. Like slower than I've ever witnessed running speed tests anytime I feel like the internet is slow.

After not getting enough sleep the bed was calling us but we have casino drawings all week at 11 so we powered through. Tonight's game was called premiere drop amd it is similar to plinko. No luck yet having our names drawn.

After my snack I had a light dinner. If it looks familiar it's because it's very similar to what I ate two nights ago lol. Cured salmon. Chicken parmesean. Tiramisu.
