  1. Its more than just a cover band performing a whole album. Its telling the story of how the album came together through the divorce of the McVie's and the breakup of Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nicks. Each person in the band wrote their songs to explain how they were feeling while this was going on.
  2. I believe its more that the Syd's show is actually owned by another company and NCL pays for it. If you moved the shows to the theater, it would be an additional expense that NCL is probably not willing to add on. Edit: The Syd's concept was created by the Rock of Ages creator and there is an LLC created for it.
  3. As the OP said, people lining up 2 hours ahead of time get a seat but that doesn't mean everyone has to go that early to get a seat. We lined up an hour before showtime and people who showed up 45 minutes before still got a seat. Doors open 30 minutes before so it you show up about 45 minutes before its really only 15 minutes of standing. This is the rumors show only. We showed up at doors open for the Prom night and didn't have a problem finding a seat.
  4. The obstructed cabins are the Family Suites with Master Bedroom so you would be paying about a $3k premium if you selected that cabin. There are sets of balconies that are partially obstructed but they are wheelchair accessible rooms so you would need to check that you need that type of room to have that option.
  5. Usually the higher end wines are only stocked at the bars by the dining rooms but the Escape has a Cellars so you should be able to find some there also.
  6. For Rumors, you can get in line 45 minutes before and they open doors 30 minutes before so its really only 15 minutes of standing. For the Prom night, we got there 30 minutes before and went right in and got a seat. This was on a sold out cruise.
  7. Most name brand liquors are covered in the FAS package. Its really higher end whiskeys/scotches and wines that make the premium worth it. See the liquor list in the link for what is in each package. https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/790164-BEV_Package_Flyer_UOBP_PPBP Update_V7_no_crops.pdf Personally, I upgraded for the first time on the Prima and I don't think I can go back to the regular package. It was great to be able to order good bottles of wine at dinner and not have to worry about paying for Starbucks and water. The regular coffee is not great so we ordered Starbucks a couple of times a day. We also took a couple of bottles of water back to the room each night. I am also a whiskey drinker and enjoyed the higher priced whiskeys and scotches.
  8. Adding to this. NCL has a 2 Bedroom villa but it’s in the Haven so you will pay a premium. You will get access to the private restaurant, lounge and pool deck. You also get a butler and concierge. If the pricing works for you, it’s the way to go. If you go with two cabins and you select the FAS drink package, they will get the soda package. It really is only soda and juices though. Since you can order two drinks at a time, I have never had an issue with asking for a mock tail with my drink. For atmosphere, it’s a little more lively than Royal but not as crazy as Carnival. If you want to be left alone, no one will bother you. If you want to socialize, you will easily meet plenty of people during the cruise. NCL specializes in solo cruising and I have found that the solo meet up groups really drive the party.
  9. Go with the Breakaway and Away+ ships. Breakaway, Getaway and Escape have waterslides and ropes courses. Joy, Bliss and Encore have waterslides and go karts.
  10. Aqua is bigger and moves venues around. It also has more passengers though.
  11. I have been watching pricing on the Icon OTS and it’s crazy. For a balcony for my family of 4 its $16k. I just paid $4,300 for the Prima.
  12. Sure but do you know if there is a coral reef off the coast of GSC that is blocking ships from docking here? It looks like there might be.
  13. For the drink package, you get drinks up to $15 which covers most options except if you were to order higher end liquors. If you purchase something more than $15, you will get the $15 towards that drink and pay the difference plus 20% of that difference. For example, if the drink is $17, you will pay $2.40($2 difference plus .40 gratuity). Since its only your wife that really drinks, it doesn't makes sense to upgrade and you can just pay the difference if she orders something over.
  14. Sometimes NCL is cheaper than RCCL and sometimes its not. Only you can answer if its worth it to you. For me, I would choose the Jade even with the price difference. The Grandeur is the smallest and oldest ship in Royal's fleet and looks like it hasn't been renovated since 2012. Look at the reviews on here. I had to go back 4 pages before I found a positive review. https://www.cruisecritic.com/cruise/royal-caribbean/grandeur-of-the-seas/reviews
  15. Are they talking about something other than the ice cream machine in the buffet? Also, the menu is back to rotating on the Prima and they also have the Been There mugs in the Starbucks.
  16. It was Prime Rib night in the buffet on night 1 of my Prima cruise 2 weeks ago. When you walk into the buffet area during the day, they have signs at the entrance that tell you the theme of night.
  17. I would bet they will use the same burger patties that they use at the Local now.
  18. I can report that last week on the Prima you still could only order from the venue you sit at. We sat at the Garden counter and only the salads and soups were available.
  19. If its like Price is Right, you go to the box office in the atrium during the listed time slot in order to sign up for participating. On our cruise, it was 3-5 the afternoon of the show.
  20. The wine steward also offered to save our bottle and give us a tag that we could turn into the waiter at any restaurant and they would retrieve it for us.
  21. I was using entree to mean main. It was worded poorly.
  22. We got the pasta as an entree and it was big enough for your main and there was no additional charge.
  23. That was my posting. They consider pizza and pasta as either an entrée or appetizer at Onda on the Prima. We each got an appetizer and a pizza and were able to still get an entree. I also didn't include that you get 2 sides per credit.
  24. You can make reservations how ever far out as you like. Saying that reservations being held back is an urban legend is just wrong.
  25. Here are the Dailies. Remember that we flipped Costa Maya and Cozumel due to the craziness in the Gulf. Prima Day 1.pdf Prima Day 2.pdf Prima Day 3.pdf Prima Day 4.pdf Prima Day 5.pdf Prima Day 6.pdf Prima Day 7.pdf
