  1. You have a good point. In my two upcoming sailings it does show "Premier Beverage Package" so I am going to be printing that now! LOL!
  2. I wasn't complaining when all the drinks were within my package. I suspect now they won't be. I'm super bummed about that. With PP I felt like there was some value in that. I didn't have to keep track of what I was spending because it was "included." I guess if the service levels increased along with the cost one would be less concerned, but it seems to go the other way.
  3. Including non-alcoholic beverages in that 15 limit is not going to work for me and would not make sense from a $ perspective at all. I think what burns me up a bit is that all the times me and my husband have purchased the PP and he doesn't even drink alcohol. But, you can't just choose it for one person. Princess has always come out ahead with us. I never max out the alcohol limit of 15. It's just not possible for me.
  4. Well, they both include (mostly) the same stuff, just different limits. I am not loving it that I probably won't be able to get my favorite drinks covered anymore. Looks like I will be re-thinking my beverage choices on cruises. I'm NOT spending more so I can drink what I want. Cruising has already become more expensive.
  5. I think they want the majority of people showing up with them in hand so that it takes less workers at the terminal to handle that job. It is one less task for the workers handling the embarkation process.
  6. Oh, I see they are literally only showing the horses getting into the gates and the race. So, please excuse my ignorance...I don't usually watch this channel on the ship. Does this mean it will be available live on the ship as well? If so, I'm definitely going to check with guest services and see if they can air it on the big screen on the lido or in one of the lounges. Somewhere where I won't be cold! lol
  7. You may want to consider looking into HAL as they are running an Alaska promo with kids sail free and perks such as free crew incentive, drink pkg, etc. right now. I don't think they sail out of SF though so that might be a deal breaker for you. I have not seen a kids sail free promo from Princess that I recall.
  8. Ours just arrived yesterday and it came in a pretty foil blue bubble envelope (approx 5x7) via USPS. It is not very big at all and fit into our small cluster mailbox with our regular mail. It didn't have to go into a parcel locker.
  9. Thanks @CineGraphic and @Honolulu Blue I don't plan on doing any betting as I do not gamble, but I really enjoy watching the races. I do hope the Casino isn't the only option because I don't want to be in a smoky environment. I should be able to use my ipad if I can't watch it on one of the big screens around the ship. No biggie. I'm just really looking forward to being on the Ruby. I've missed the grand class ships and am really looking forward to being back on 🙂
  10. We will be sailing on the Ruby and on a sea day heading up to Alaska from SF and I wonder if Princess will be airing the Preakness Stakes on 5/21. I know it is being aired on NBC and I can watch it on one of my devices but it would be nice to watch it on a bigger screen on the ship somewhere.
  11. I had it on the Majestic in February and it was actually quite good! My only regret was not asking for a baked potato instead of whatever it came with on the menu.
  12. Waldorf salad Shrimp cocktail Watermelon & Feta Prime rib Fettuccine Alfredo Lobster tail Beef cheek pappardelle pasta at Sabatinis Poached eggs on roasted potatoes (suite breakfast) Room service club sandwich Room service lasagna no longer available 😞 Room service lattes in the morning Slice pizza Alfredo's pizza Int'l Cafe Cuban sandwich and ham & cheese croissant gelato Chocolate dome dessert All the soufflé desserts (chocolate preferred)
  13. A federal court judge ruled on it in April and it was not challenged so it remains lifted. Also, California's mask mandate does not require it either at this time. https://covid19.ca.gov/masks-and-ppe/
  14. We will be boarding the Ruby in SF soon and wondered with the mask mandate being lifted if that also included cruise ports. Anyone know that has cruised on Princess out of SF since it was lifted? I may still wear one, just curious if it is still required or not. No need to hear opinions on the matter.
