I've never been on Carnival...have an upcoming cruise in February on the Panorama. Kind of disappointing to see cuts being made. It's interesting that people mention wasted food. I think people would waste less food if the food served (room service, buffet, etc.) were better quality. You can't deliver terrible food to me and expect me to eat it. If they took wasted food as lack of interest maybe they should be asking what people think of the food. I can't tell you how many times I have put something on my plate only to take a taste and realize it is not even edible. It is one of the reason I actually hate buffets though. I just do not experience that at land based restaurants in general. Just make good food that people will eat! It's really not that hard. I know food is subjective, but have you ever been out on a Friday or Saturday night? All those restaurants that have hours long waits have to be doing something right! Food just does not have to be that complicated.

No, as per usual everyone just shows up whenever they darn well please! lol

MedallionNet was great when we had it on the Sky Princess inaugural transatlantic. We were on iphones and ipads. We were streaming Netflix, shopping online, etc. Since the restart, things have not been the same. Makes me wonder if Princess has had something to do with it. First they add Princess Plus/Premier...next it will be tiered internet plans too. Ugh.

If it is a courtesy hold and not an actual booking then you cannot do anything with it since it is not a booking. Once a deposit it placed, then it is a booking.

We have had to ask for a pen on our last two cruises to fill in the breakfast door tag. They really need to leave a pen in the room for that. Kind of ridiculous to leave something that needs filling out but nothing to write with.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you you cannot get a FCC from Princess and also get a refund for the missed days (trip interruption) through AON, correct? I ask because I filed a claim and it has been more than two months and they just keep telling me it's "in process" at AON and Princess issues us a FCC, but I told them I don't want that, I want a refund. I haven't touched the FCC because I don't want to mess up my insurance claim.

Saw this talked about on the news and kind of surprised that they are making a 7 day cruise out of it. It takes about a day for a boat to travel from Sacramento to San Francisco on the Sacramento River/Delta system if I recall. Even more surprised that Stockton is one of the port stops. The only thing we ever hear about Stockton on the news in NorCal is all the shootings. Seriously, it's on the daily.

I have two GHD hair flat irons that are professional grade hair tools that I have brought on Princess ships, including the Majestic and they have worked just fine. I've not had an issue.

I thought the omelet was good and the sausage were pork links I believe. I would prefer all sorts of veggies in my omelet but I feel like a list of items in my omelet might be pushing the limit. lol

We always bring a bunch of dollar bills for tipping and quite honestly, they never ever pause as if they are waiting for a tip, and you are NEVER obligated to give an extra tip, but we just do. Whenever I can be generous, I try to be. That's just me though. To each their own however they decide to handle it. I do not want to cause a tip debate/discussion.

Of course you can get it delivered, you just have to pay for it. Sorry, I should have been more clear 😁

I have also written in hot breakfast items like ham & cheese omelets, hash browns, bacon, sausage, etc. on the door tag and they arrive just as requested. Although you don't have to, but we do tip extra when we ask for things that are not even offered on the menu.

Also, if you have a drink package you can order those beverages to be delivered to your room free of charge. You can order with your mobile device or through the tv in your room.

Yikes, I hope they aren't nudging toward RCL/NCL. Those are really the ones I am trying to avoid. I enjoy a more quiet, laid back cruise without all the excitement of all the "fun" stuff. I think it's great for the kids though. I just NEED a less busy, chaotic environment or I probably would not cruise. I have not cruised Celebrity, but I think I would like to try them. (sorry, I didn't mean to take this thread off topic!)

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but HAL does kids for free too. I am not sure if I recall if it was pre-pandemic. My brain is starting to forget what that was like now. I am not sure if it changes behavior all that much.

Personally, I like the idea. It's the best of both worlds. I get to sail on my preferred line and bring my grandkids. Of course, they would have to skip school because we cruise during times they are typically in school. So much more enriching though! lol

How about the complimentary coffee on board? and do they offer non-dairy creamers like almond milk? Or are we going to have to always buy specialty coffee? I'm used to pretty good coffee. The kids will have a room in the family harbor so I think they get access to a good coffee bar there.

We have an upcoming sailing on the Panorama in February with family and the hubs and I normally sail on Princess. I am wondering what differences I should expect on the Panorama? Do waiters walk around and take drink orders or will I have to always go to a bar and get it myself? One of the things I was wondering about is the service level. Shouldn't really be any different, right? I had assume that the main differences would be just a younger crowd, more kids (probably not so many in February though), lots of families, etc. Will there be a lot of standing in line for food venues? What are great things for 8-10 year old kids on the ship? Tell me everything! Really looking forward to a new experience and seeing the grandkids have some fun!

I am pretty certain that no testing required is not meant to be interpreted that it is ok to expose others to Covid.

I logged in to the personalizer today and low and behold we have our old cabin back! Woohoo! Let's just hope it doesn't change again before our sail date. Gonna be checking more often now!

I think how they are handling it is new is what the TA was saying. They are being blocked from even viewing what is available or something like that. I could hear the frustration in her voice.
