Fingers crossed our flight from Gatwick to Rome on Monday is OK.
Plan B is I just just go back to work and look forward to my Ski holiday next February 😂
Not sure if this will still be in place when we dock in Athens next Thursday. Due to the excessive heat the Acropolis is currently closed to visitors from noon until 5 pm.
Totally agree.
......and why can't they install a few microwave ovens for passengers to use. I'm fed up with luke warm food every time I go up there to grab something on the go?
Go to the Sunset bar and have a drink or three!
Then we'll pass through the buffet and grab some food to take back to the cabin and eat while we unpack.
Just a "heads up" @Les43.
According to the Santorini port schedule we will be joined on the Sunday by Enchanted Princess, Viking Sea, Celestyal Olympia and one small ship.
Us too! But we fly out on embarkation day and hope to be on board by 3 pm.
It will be our third Reflection cruise with an itinerary we've done loads of times. The ship for us is the holiday with great weather and loads of booze!
Thank you for your balanced review. I've gleaned more from it than the current live thread someone is posting!
This will be our third time aboard Reflection later this month and your review was very reassuring.
Thank you.
We visit Athens later this month on Reflection and have been there loads of times.
We'll stay on board. It's great as the ship is so quiet because Athens is so popular for excursions. We have the premium drinks package too so I will be "on it" all day!
I'm looking forward to meeting Pete Baker again. We last saw him on Solstice way back when he was activities manager and my daughter was one of his team.
I’ve done both. The last time I had just the classic was on the Edge inaugural cruise. It was a 7 day cruise so after a couple of days I was resigned to poor beer choices. Wine was acceptable too but for longer cruises we always have the premium package. It comes off my OBC so no physical payment to concern myself with. I also prefer not to be bothered about paying extra for premium beers and wines.
Sorry to read your cruise has got off with a bad start. I hope the vibration becomes more bearable if you can't be moved.
Please can you tell me the names of the CD and Activities Manager?
We always upgrade as my preferred beer is Peroni. We also drink a lot of champagne (but none of that Chateau de Gangway c*** Celebrity dish out where ever they can get away with it!).
Wife likes to experiment with the cocktails and I always have Belvedere vodka in my long island ice teas.
Less than 4 weeks to go now before we board Reflection in Civitavecchia 🍹🥂🍷🍺
We've done this for two nights in Murano's on our Reflection cruise in six weeks time. I can't be arsed rushing to the restaurant on embarkation day to secure the dates and times I want!
My wife loves to dress up regardless of the suggested dress code. I always complement her with my attire.
What others choose to wear, I really don't give a monkey's!
Barcelona is the best port to sail from for ease of transfer from the airport and the city is right next to the port.
I prefer Civitavecchia however as we like eastern Med' cruises more than those on the west. We don't care much for Gibraltar, Marseilles, and Genoa.
