It’s change over day so at 10 am the ship is very quiet.

Day 8 of 14. - Athens Emerald Azzurra arrives. What a super ship to cruise on

There are shows at 10 pm in the Arena and Dome every night. There is also a comedian most nights in the Princess live lounge. We have always had plenty of time to get to them without rushing through our dinner.

We took the Sea Bus from the cruise dock to the old town port which costs €4 each for a round trip. Princess want to charge you $8.95 per person for the coach transfer that stops short of the old town! They try to warn you away from using the Sea Bus claiming it only runs every 30 minutes and the queues are very long as a result. Utter rubbish! IMG_8132.mov

As normal it was very windy here. The captain said gusts of 50 mph meant the side thrusters and propeller was constantly running to help keep the ship firm against the dock

Mykonos is one of our favourite stops.

Day 7 of 14 - Mykonos

Currently on Sun Princess. We have booked Tradional dining for 7.30 pm every night just prior to the cruise. If you don’t show up within 15 minutes for table is given to someone else. There are always people queuing to come in either deck 6 or deck 7 MDR’s and they always get seated relatively quickly.

Currently on Sun Princess and the “wow” factor isn’t quite as good as our inaugural cruise on Celebrity Edge back in 2018. Will try Sabatini’s tonight. Hoping it as good as Emerald Princess and better than Regal Princess 🤞🙏

Day 6 of 14 - Istanbul

Like @KenTheCruiser I don’t put up pictures of plated food, but last night the Land & Sea main meal of steak and lobster was amazing. My waiter also brings it very hot to me as requested. Just this once I will post a picture for all you food lovers!

After dinner we tried to see the Cirque show in the Dome but five minutes before the show start time they were refusing entry as it was full. We went to the Arena instead and watched Viva la Musica. A great show with plenty of special effects. The audience are up on their feet dancing. It was that good.

During dinner we passed under the 1915 Çanakkale suspension bridge which has the largest central span of any bridge in the world.

It was a sea day yesterday and the atrium had something going on all day long. It really is the hub of this ship.

We are currently on the Sun Princess and Elite too. We booked 7.30 in the deck 6 MDR for 14 nights via the App a few weeks before the cruise but didn’t book any specialty restaurants as I didn’t want my credit card to be charged. once on board we could book the Specialty venues by calling Guest services. Trying via the App was possible but the availability of slots in the Teppanyaki restaurant is very popular so we are hoping for a cancellation at 7 pm.

The Sun Bar is one of my favourite day time bars for a chat and watch concerts on MUTS.

The pool deck area still had many people enjoying the heat of the day.

According to our MDR table mates they had to wait in line well over two hours to come down in the cable car.

We left late so got to see Santorini lite up and the colourful OOTS.
