As for the Sun Princess, we can't wait to board this August for 14 nights. Nothing reported so far has put me off in the slightest.

They certainly did it for Celebrity Edge back in 2018. My DD was selected for Activities Manager. The inaugural season was so stressful (being a brand new concept for Celebrity) she quit. The initial negativity the ship received from Celebrity diehards didn't help!

Devastating news! The water temperature was 10c, so hyperthermia will set in quickly! Two pilots on the cargo ship so something seriously went wrong with the ship's navigation/steering/radar. I'm guessing it will be many weeks before cargo ships/ cruise ships can use the docks again.

We've been to Santorini loads of times. The walk up is fun (just 588 steps to the top). Walking down takes about 30-40 minutes, but don't wear nice/new trainers!!!! Last year we had quite a queue for the gondola (at least an hour!) as there 3 other ships in. We should have waited later into the early evening as our ship was leaving much later than the others. See you on board perhaps!

We will do traditional dining on the Sun this August. I really like the look of the MDR on deck 6. Hopefully second sitting dining in the Med' will be at 8.15 pm. Any ship motion doesn't bother us in the slightest. I actually enjoy some wave movement whilst cruising.

I've just followed the above instructions and when I click on "cancel" then click on "login" I get a window showing a complete stranger's name (a lady) and date of birth in1948. There's a profile picture of her too in the top right corner of the screen. What on earth is going on!?! Is this because I'm in the UK?

I've never felt overdressed in my formal attire and will continue to wear a tux' on formal wear suggested dress code nights regardless of where the cruise is. I also couldn't "give a monkeys" on what others choose to wear. Me and the wife always dress smartly when going out for a meal in our locality too. And don't get me started on flight weight allowance restriction excuses!🙄

Neither do all the Activities team members. A fact, as my DD was one of them for almost ten years with Celebrity!

Sorry to read your misfortune. With all your cruise experience I would have thought you would have had a "Plan B"? Taking non direct flights also cost considerably less when flying "last minute". Whilst beneath some, I would have accepted economy seats just to get where I wanted to be.

I agree with @steelers36. The T&C's state "based on the price of your original package". What you therefore paid is the base cost, and you need to pay the difference for the upgrade.

I'd be interested to know the vibe for the Captain's welcome aboard formal night. The wife loves dressing up regardless of the suggested dress code so it's not an issue for us how others choose to dress.

I hope for our August cruise they make the second sitting 8.15 pm, as 7.30 pm is a bit too early for us during the long summer days.

Interesting to see tablecloths only on decks 6 and 7 in the MDR. We won't therefore go dining on Deck 8 in the evenings. Too casual for the wife!

I’d be interested to know how the Crooners bar compares with the Grand and Royal class ships. I’m hoping it’s more like the Grand ones!
