@Cruzin Terri @grapau27 Thanks for your advice and help, my wife who is a retired RN thinks it's the Saharan dust, she checked my temp an hour ago and it was 97 and she is fine and doesn't suffer from allergies like I do. I have no other symptoms but the sneezing. To play it safe I will probably on Monday head over to Walgreens and buy a home test.

Does the Oosterdam have a Rolling Sone Lounge?
MISTER 67 replied to gailellen12's topic in Holland America Line
My bad, I knew that, the question should have been are they going to replace the BB Kings on all the Vista and Signature Class ships? -
Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. I haven't posted much but have read a bit in the last 2 days with people having issues with other posters and their threads . I haven't come across anything by other posters than anybody should be upset about. Rich does a great job and he should be commended for his time and effort. I haven't seen any meanness from posters like I do on some Baseball fan forums I belong to, everyone here is very civil and extremely caring. That being said, I know there are quite a few Floridians on The Daily and wonder if any of you have had any problems with the Sahara dust invading Florida in the past week, I have allergy problems and the I've had quite a bit of sneezing this week with just a few coughs. I'm a little concerned it might be a mild case of Covid but have no other symptoms like sore throat or fever, we cruise 2 weeks from today and what is really concerns me if it is Covid but clears up in a few days, is it likely that I could get a false positive on my rapid test 2 days before the cruise. BTW DW has no symptoms at all. Thanks for any input.

Wow, we love BB Kings, I wonder if this going to be a new policy replacing BB Kings on all the ships. -
Why do you love Princess Cruise Line.
MISTER 67 replied to cachouonacruise's topic in Princess Cruises
Princess and Holland America are our favorites with HAL a little more sedate with an older crowd but lately we are seeing more younger people. I've sailed all the lines the OP has sailed and after all is said and done they all have their good points and not much bad, we have never had a lousy cruise. I do feel that RCCL rates are higher as someone has to pay for all the extras like ice skating rinks and bumper cars which at our age we aren't interested in. What I like about Princess is the Military OBC plus the benefits for past cruisers which are very good especially for Elite status. -

Earned their pay especially at ramming speed. -

We did have jars of mixed nuts every night in the Ocean Bar on our cruise on the Rotterdam in March. We also had cabin service twice a day but no mints on the pillow. No lobster, not a big deal with us. BTW the Rotterdam was sold out for our cruise except for cabins set aside for Covid. -
Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Calzones are pretty good. We've been to Dubrovnik, beautiful walled city, we did the walkway on the wall top and have great photos but they are all on disks. Interesting quote. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. If you wanted a real Slider back in the day, this was the only place to go. We would by them by the bag before Blackhawks hockey games at the old Chicago Stadium, usually 5 or more of them, sometimes 10, would eat them before the game started up in the nosebleed seats. 5 cents each in the 1950s and a dime in the 60s. Hope everyone has a great day.

We were also on that cruise, I was told it was sold out with some cabins of course left unsold for Covid quarantine purposes. BTW, it was a great cruise, good weather, good food, good entertainment and super service.

Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Thanks to all the nurses including the best one I know who is my wife, over 40 years giving TLC to her patients including being a supervisor in an intensive care unit for over 20 years. Hope everyone has a great day.

How many Cruising Duck hunters are out there?
MISTER 67 replied to 4x4bob's topic in Princess Cruises
Ditto. Once you find a duck, what happens, do you win something? -
Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. I hope the FBI doesn't catch up with me for years of tearing tags off mattresses and furniture. Hope everyone has a great day.

That probably was the Caribbean Princess, we have sailed on her 10 times and the cruises you bring up we were always about at least an hour late reaching the various ports from what was originally posted on our booking itineraries. No big deal especially for us as we very seldom leave the ship.

We sailed on the Rotterdam on March 20-27 and it was Captain Timmers.

Princess and HAL are our favorite lines and have always found the food on both lines very comparable, pretty darn good but not great. Since Thanksgiving we sailed with Princess twice and HAL once with no complaints on either line. I found the food in the buffet to be very good on all 3 cruises. I do think that the desserts on Princess are better especially ones with chocolate, of course HAL's bread pudding is great. One other item, we love the French Onion soup in the MDR on Princess ships. We are sailing with Celebrity next month and it will be interesting to see how they now compare to Princess and HAL. We were on the Equinox twice in 2019 before the pandemic and the food was no better than Princess and HAL, the french onion soup was a joke with maybe 5 onion strings in the whole crock.
