  1. Love it when I learn something on these boards. If someone asked me this out of the blue I would probably have hit 6. Yay for trivia facts.
  2. I cannot comment on the Haven restaurant as I was in a lowly balcony cabin, but I did spend 19 consecutive days onboard and here's what I thought. Keep in mind this is just on the Getaway. Cagney's Shanghai Noodle Bar (maybe because it was so close to the Casino?) LeBistro Taste/Savor Teppanyaki
  3. *If* you have a PCC that you like working with and you want to get the credit...you can put the cruise on a courtesy hold. For my non CAS bookings, I put it on hold then send my PCC an email with a couple of preferred contact times and then he calls me to go over the particulars and VOILA! I'm booked and he gets the credit.
  4. I have done several B2B and I always send them separately. The responses I received have always been specific to each Reservation # which in turn is assigned a specific case number. I know sometimes a B2B can be booked under a single reservation which I would think gets only 1 Shareholder Benefit. Perhaps someone will chime in that has first hand knowledge on that twist. *************** SNIP ****************** Dear XXXXXX: This is Valerie, a Resolution Specialist at Norwegian Cruise Line. We take great pride in delivering exceptional guest experience and appreciate the opportunity to connect with our guests . Please note that we have applied your shareholder on board credit to your reservation as follows: BK 12345678 - $250.00 Thank you for choosing Norwegian Cruise Line and have a great day . Sincerely, Valerie C Zabal Resolution Specialist Guest Services Case: 98765432
  5. HA! I thought I was the only one averse to free advertising and I tell them I will not accept delivery until *they* remove the label.
  6. On my last cruise my invoice was extremely long as well and I gave up trying to figure out the "credits" and "reversal of a credit", but vowed that I would reconcile day to day on my next cruise so the next time it doesn't happen. It's annoying and I can't speak for others, but it leaves me feeling cheated even if the numbers all work out. I'm usually up early anyway and I will just pop by Guest Services when there is no line until that gets to be more annoying than trying to figure out my bill (probably day 3...) Glad to hear your trip ended better than it started!
  7. Love, Love, Love transatlantic cruises and longer cruises in general. I am a SEA DAY lover, so the crossings are great for me. I was a little nervous after booking my first one, so I started here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/2474-transatlantic-transpacific-repositioning-trans-ocean-cruises/ A wealth of information to be had. Happy Sailing!
  8. Grrrr...I am so nervous about this. It looks like my April 22nd, 2024/Hawaii to Alaska cruise is the last one that is "for sure" which doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence.
  9. Glad to hear they are restocking on Wild Turkey 101 - that's my favorite and it wasn't available on my last two cruises. I ended up alternating between Buffalo Trace and Woodford.
  10. On my recent 20-day I received 3 free bags. Other than the general notice that goes out to everyone for the 1/2 price bags it was never mentioned. I had already planned that if I had to pay for 1 or 2 extra bags I wasn't going to sweat it, but each time my laundry went out it came back with no charge. With regard to the casino, my 20-day was comped. It was an Inside, but it was comped. Not sure if that was because I was solo, but there's a data point for you in there somewhere.
  11. Datapoint: I was just on the Sun and they had them.
  12. I am still relatively new to CAS, so currently stuck with mostly "inside" offers. When I asked about eligibility on an Alaskan cruise I was thinking about they offered me an OV. Nice! Only cost me 30K points to upgrade on that one. I'm not sure if I am able to get offers for the longer cruises because I cruise solo or not? My first experience with CAS I was told 10 days or less, no Hawaii and something else that escapes my memory right now. Since then they have comped a 20-day on the Sun and a 14-day on the Gem during Christmas/New Years. Hard to say without knowing all the determining factors for offers, but even with the dreaded $20/day admin fee I am very happy with the program.
  13. I am going to try to utilize my advantage for my Hawaii/Alaska cruise in April 2024. I already booked the inside then upgraded with points. Hopefully in January I will receive an offer to bid. Really looking forward to seeing if I can swing this 🤞!
  14. I found it to be on par with Hospital coffee which the last batch I had was truly frightening. I had to ask myself if they were "trying to generate business" with what they were serving.
  15. You don't have to be sorry. On my last cruise the coffee was so awful I switched to tea because I just felt like I was wasting my creamer.😁
  16. Following... The Jewel class ships are my favorite. Have a wonderful trip!
  17. It is my understanding is that it is a rolling past 3 years. I am new to CAS as of 09/2022, but that is what was explained to me. I received my first ever OV comp for an upcoming May 2024 cruise. I have a B2B coming up in November, so in theory I could have waited to book it, with hopes of a better cabin, but I wanted to get it taken care of. I am looking at a Fall Canadian cruise in September 2024, so looking forward to see what will be offered.
  18. Wow - just wow! I cannot lie, I love a good play by play and that was one of the best I've read. Let me start by saying I truly hope you end up enjoying your cruise and I'll be interested and following along. I am also a CAS customer, and now that Prima is an option I have been reading the reviews. Based upon your review and a few others NCL has violated two of my most cherished aspects of cruising. 1A. Unpack once! 1B. I have bouts of insomnia (but not on a ship) you mess with my sleep on a ship and oh my I can honestly say I would become an extremely unpleasant individual. I consider myself a pretty tolerant person considering I do have one more major gripe: THE COFFEE. I realize that's a subjective one and I try to work around that by bringing along my favorite creamer or in the most recent case simply switching to tea because it was so bad; but making me move my own things AFTER 3.5 days of reporting a concern and gaslighting me once you actually attempt a half-hearted effort to make it right - ummm yeah...that's not going to go down so well. Don't sacrifice anymore precious cruise time (unless you really want to) we can wait until you get back for the synopsis.
  19. LMAO! You never cease to make me laugh. Here's to NCL making it "weird"!🥂
  20. So thorough and detailed. I know how time consuming this is so thanks for that. I love TA's, but have yet to do the Spring route. I always end up on the November/December side coming back to the US. This is officially on my "To Do" list.
  21. Yeah, on my recent casino cruise on the Sun port fees and taxes were $576.42 alone. I'll be monitoring carefully for double/triple offers in the future.
