Does our loyalty level add or detract to our posts in terms of content?   Just asking for a friend….BTW Diamond here….46 Carnival cruises, do not feel there has been constant cutbacks (altho I do not feel I have to mention it in every post, either if I am unhappy or pleased with the product…..maybe I should…)

Actually, it kind of does. I would think most people would give more credit to someone who has been on 50 cruises than someone who has been on 1.

I do get what your saying though. Some people just like to throw their status in all the time like they are super special. All you got to do is read the posts and you can figure them out real quick. But what do I know, I'm just a lowly platinum. 😁

I would consider long lines thst no customer likes due to closing station early or not opening as many as before a cutback.

I can agree that Carnival has had a few "cutbacks" since Covid, but the lines at the buffet have always (way before Covid) been long between 9 - 10 a.m. Same with Pizza at about 11 p.m.

    Pretty excited that we just booked the Luminosa for next year's TP from Seattle back to Brisbane,AU. A 30!!!!cruise with some amazing ports;

2 in Alaska.  5 in Japan, 1 in the Philippines, 1 in Indonesia, ending in Brisbane. And the best part, it's a comped Casino cruise!!! Sept.14-Oct. 15, 2023.

Did you book as a premier? I got a great offer on this cruise and wished we could work out the timing.

I am getting this offer on the Carnival website, specifically for a "free" oceanview room plus $200 in funplay.  Code EL6.  When I click on the offer, it navigates to another page also entitled Luminosa Holiday Away Offer, but this is for a "free" balcony plus $500 funplay.  Code EL7.  Immediately below this language, however, it also says "Oh Snap There arnen't any cruises with the details you searched for."   So it appears I can't actually book this offer.

The deal has been this way for several days now.  Does anyone else have a similar offer?  Is my offer broken?   I am thinking Carnival wants to give me the EL6 deal but has navigated me to EL7 and so the computer just says there isn't anything for me to book.

And, yes, I realize this in Australia, and I am highly unlikely to book it, but am still wondering if actual cruises are available to anyone under this offer.

I have the offer EL7 and it shows 6 different sailings. No error.

You can do that if you want but you don't have to. Just play once with your sail n sign card and you are signed up.

How can I join the Carnival Players Club?
When you use your Sail & Sign® card in the casino, you are automatically a member! Just insert your card into any slot machine. You will set up a Player Bank and a profile will be automatically created for you. That’s all it takes at the slots. If you are a table player, simply present your Sail & Sign card to the dealer while playing or ask your Casino Host for further details.

I am a little bit confused with language . Elaine said "going to Ocean Player's Club and sign up for offers". How is this done? Once aboard? I signed up for the Player's Club last trip. Does this have to be reinitiated each time at sea? I have three booked cruises right now, the first happening in nine days.

Your experience will be a benefit to me. Thanks, all.

You don't have to sign up for anything. Just play with your card and you are in the system.

You obviously have not been reading the plethora of threads over the years discussing Cheers.  You have the obvious "is it worth it?", with those on either side of the line in the sand making their pitch as to why or why not you should get Cheers.  On the pro Cheers side are a group that gets it for the convenience factor and if they happen to possibly just fall short of breaking even it's OK because of the piece of mind that Cheers provides and they don't have to worry what their tab is going to be at the end of the cruise.

My response was to d12j28, not you.

And mine was in response to someone claiming it was the truth a bunch of people won't come close to spending what they paid for Cheers. I'd be willing to bet the vast majority of those who buy Cheers don't get off the ship saying they didn't get their money's worth.

I've read plenty on here over the years on the debate of is Cheers worth it or not. Only the person buying Cheers can answer that. People need to remember that the those who post on here are only a small fraction of those who cruise.

Doesnt the initial email you get from Carnival tell you when the final payment is due? I know it tells you when you log in and view the booking.

I know the email from my TA tells me in black bold font the final payment date.

    Yes it does.

Common sense, business knowledge, and reading these posts for years. A bunch of people indicate that they get the drink package so that they don't have to look at their running tab. They don't care if they hit the actual dollar amount. They are willing to pay for the "convenience. "

A "bunch" of people posting on CC is far from making it a truth.

Good for you. The OP asked a question.  I answered. Simply a cost benefit analysis based on lifestyle.

There's also the truth that many people will get the package and will not come close to drinking $600 of beverages if they paid individually. *shrug*

And you know this "truth" how?

Does that happen with the Cheers! sticker?  Why?  I've only bought Cheers! once, several years ago.  We had the stickers then.

It's always been hit or miss with the Cheers sticker. You don't really need it for anything. They know when they ring you up.

I don't recall seeing this (sticker) on prior sailings - but, I might have just not noticed. Here's our card from our Liberty sailing a couple of months ago:

  14. The cruise cash is on your account just like on board credit would be. Anything you charge to your S&S card with use that first.

If you cash up at a slot machine it goes into your players bank, not on your S&S account. So if you play one slot machine, cash out $100 and want to go play another machine you would take the money from your players bank.

If you want chips to play tables just go to the cage and get them. You can take from your players bank or charge your S&S account.

Wow, thanks for this! So reviewing the benefits of this it's basically all the benefits of an Elite Offer (The 150 Folio credit/person is basically what the free excursion/spa credit is worth) that can be applied to any cruise, not just what Carnival deems an Elite cruise.

Have you been assigned a permanent casino host at Carnival? My husband prefers the casinos on Carnival (we were just on the Pride for 31 days and the casino was totally updated with new machines and tables, but not the rest of the ship, lol) but TBH we like Celebrity ships better. But even on Celebrity's newest ships the casinos are smaller and not as many of the fun slots as on Carnival.

We haven't been "assigned" a casino host but have met quite a few over the years and always speak to the ones we know. Even had a couple that have bought us drinks after we maxed out Cheers by 8pm. LOL

This does have a lot of the elite benefits, however you can use this on about any cruise you want and I believe you can "stack" this offer with others. I can't remember how many there are but the executive hosts on the Echo cruises are the big wigs. I want to say there is only like 4 of them? They aren't your regular hosts.

We definitely like the casino on carnival. They are a lot of fun. Did miss the slot tournament's on our last couple of cruises though.
