Each promo will have detailed payment terms in fine print of offer. You are correct, for close-in promos V often requires payment at time of booking, or shortly thereafter. For 1 year or 2 years out promos, you would refer to payment terms of promo offer. Sometimes PIF 1 year or longer prior to voyage. Pax with a future cruise already booked, may request a 6 month PIF date. I pay TA on their third party secure payments platform. Charge is posted to credit card statement as Viking Cruises, not name of TA.

I highly recommend seeing CD Damian's show. A talented singer, dancer and entertainer giving a high energy performance. He has a wide vocal range. Don't miss it!

@stretchcruz Thanks for reporting on M&M. We are still here! Have not been bothered by Sea state. Enjoyed dinner last night in WC. Had NY Sirloin, cooked to my preference, juicy, tender and a nice thick cut. Was impressed with quality. The production shows have been terrific. Vocalists/dancers are so talented, full of energy and friendly. This is their last cruise. After show tonight we went to Torshavn and really liked John's repertoire. Had us all singing Hey Jude and Stairway to Heaven. Fellow pax seems to also enjoy the evening. We've been attending the CIA agent's lectures. Learning a lot. Then off to dinner in Restaurant. We both enjoyed our meals, Sea Bass and Mushroom stuffed pork cutlet, lightly breaded and fried. Continuing to enjoy all dining venues.

Seas have been moderate the last day and a half, but was rough overnight.

Here it is, not specific with discounts. Does not specify PIF dates by region. Also not sure onboard rep will give current promo codes. When calling in to Viking sales agents, customer must provide promo code. Was told phone reps not allowed to tell customers of available codes. In my opinion, I think V wants you to make appointment with onboard rep, so a sales presentation can be made.

Read Wine List last night in The Restaurant. French Champagne offered by glass: Sant Gall $18, available to pax with SSBP, or anyone for charge. (Rest are Bottle priced only). Enjoyed this label last cruise, and in my opinion, was satisfied with quality, dry not sweet.

I used my cap 360 debit card in Marigot, St. Martin a few days ago, to purchase cheese and wine. Later, Calculated the exchange rate, and nearly identical to USD/EUR rate on Yahoo finance. Also, no forex fee. (Was not given choice of EUR or USD). Probably has been said, but in foreign countries, if using ATM, always use a bank owned ATM, never one at at an airport cambio or storefront ATM. And also, whether purchasing at stores, or Bank Owned ATM, and, if given choice, select to transact in Local Currency.

If your favorite wine/champagne was previously on list, talk with sommelier. He may have some stock available, but not enough to put on list. This occured on our prior Star voyage Re: French Champagne that was on list, then off a few days later. He said they still had it, just ask. I did, and it was brought to table. Even opened a 2nd bottle, when requested. (We didn't drink the entire 1st bottle, it was already opened!)

Had the opportunity to chat with CD at Explorer's party. Ask if he would be having "coffee chats" (none so far). Said they will no longer be offered, along with no Captain's Q&A. He wanted to schedule them, but was told not to anymore.
