  1. Find it under resources for your (or any) cruise. Don't think you have to be in MVJ
  2. Must try Manfredi's. The bisteca rib eye is a standout!
  3. Health and Safety opening page says documents will be updated on 14JUN
  4. Info please. Are air plus and deviation 2 separate and distinct fees? Thanks
  5. Don't think you can delete outright, but you can edit a post, and delete the body, then save. Not sure how many minutes you have to edit.
  6. Thanks Joe, good to know. On upcoming cruise, (2nd V),we have SS pkg. On 1st, never went to Chef's, menus did not appeal to us, but think we'll try it. (Unrelated, but are you from Iowa? Was in Music Man in HS, and 1 song has lots of Iowa towns named, including Keokuk.)
  7. Bar drinks are very reasonably priced and do include grat. If you have silver spirits pkg, drinks are included up to $15. If you're booked, and have added MVJ, go to onboard experience, then dining and bev, then silver spirits, learn more, sample menu, and bar price menu will open in a new tab. You can print it, if you want. In my opinion, shops are relatively expensive. Never bought spa treatments, but you can spend $ there.
  8. The cruise/travel ins I buy, covers travel supplier bankruptcy. Read the policy, prior to purchasing.
  9. Went on Greek Odyssey, Dec. 2021. Same itin. Was really a fine voyage. Took all the included shorex, very heavy on archeology museums and churches. Ephesus was well worth visiting. In Rhodes, visited the palace of the Grand Masters. Nice, but would rather have just explored on own. For us, best ports were Chania and Nafplion. Was 1st V cruise, everything was excellent. Staff could not do enough to please us. Just booked another V cruise, our new cruiseline. V did a truly fabulous Greek lunch in WC 1 day. Don't miss it! Weather was mostly 60's last Dec. Yes, off season, but still enough shops/tavernas open. No crowds (off season/Covid). Locals extremely friendly and happy to have tourists again.
  10. On V Star world cruise, Garry had a laundry room tour. It was a few months ago, on his "live from" blog, so probably hard to find it now. It was very informative and he had lots of photos.
  11. My online TA has a Mem. Day sale. They have reduced the OBC for each nights' tier by $100 (per cabin). However, they are offering everyone, on river and ocean (only), regardless of # of nights, an extra $150 OBC from V. The TA is also giving an extra $100, for new bookings during the sale. A nice promo.
  12. Re: my post #48: Sorry, must correct the cabin #. We were in 7006, C1. After about 5 years, I could not remember what Cat we originally booked; it was lower than C1, and what we paid plus the $300 upgrade was well less than Olife fare for Cat C1. After checking deck plans, larger C1s are 6004, 6005, 7006, 7007
  13. Don't remember, probably a OV GTY. yes, C1s are OV, but the 4 I mentioned are larger, also a larger window, not a porthole. Yes, we did have some motion at times
  14. Had a C1, as a paid upgrade, from Oceanview. $300 total, really worth it, as they offered deck 7 fwd C1. 7004 I think. There are 4 C1s, 2 each, decks 6, 7. They are OV, no balcony, but as deep as verandas. Really a fine cabin.
  15. Did an inside GTY on Insignia. No upgrade, not even a paid one ever offered. Cabin was nice, but really missed the natural light. Go for the outside or veranda.
  16. My opinion: FF was really nice when it came out. To build loyalty. Now I see it as a trap, since they have degraded the program over the years, drip by drip, "costing more and more miles" + extra fees to be paid on top of "free flights". So much time spent checking, checking and checking. For the true frequent fliers, a nice program, but for casual, vacation fliers, not so good.
  17. Stella Oceanis, my 1st cruise in 1984. And I was hooked! Was terrific in every way, service, cuisine, entertainment, lectures. Also sailed on Stella Solaris, also excellent. Sadly, they didn't keep up with cruise trends, and eventually went out of business.
