  1. I'm sorry, but no one ever gave me candy at work. Hey look, I got candy for you. Getting candy would be really an insult.....like why do you think I can't buy candy that I like? Just give me money. Let my adult mind make my own decision what I will buy. It's only cute when giving it to kids. Adults want money. It's not even a nice gesture. I think more of an insult treating a person like a child.
  2. Day one is sailing day. You get 5. The day you get off at 8:00am you get no free drinks, but since nothing is open, it doesn't matter. (unless you wanted a coffee)
  3. Like going to Disney on a Saturday during the summer. Set the expectation, and than it's ok. What is more important was that everyone was together
  4. If I understand correctly, you want to use Apps that use GPS for location, such as a map. The answer is no, it won't work. Although the phone continuously pings for towers, if you have the internet turned off, it won't do anything. (note wifi is the internet, and is only an avenue to get to the internet) So if your data is turned off, airplane mode, and you don't subscribe to the ships internet through wifi, than nothing.
  5. Once you book the tax and fees stay the same Taxes are each individual country, not the USA. It is not a fixed percentage either. It is entirely controlled by the country. Fees are docking fees per passenger. Again, this can change based on the country that is creating the fees. If the ship collects in excess of the fees they are charged you might get an OBC for it. It might only be a dollar or two. You are assuming that taxes are a fixed percent so when the trip goes down, the tax goes down. This is not that kind of tax. Best thing to do, is not look at it since you can't control it.
  6. Remember for every negative comment on food, there is 100 people liking it, and not commenting. Just like people complained the menu never changes, and now it's changed, they complain it is changed. Just see for yourself, and make your judgement. I personally saw no issues
  7. All networks are public. Even the ATM is attached to a public network
  8. Poster afraid of doing ATM by herself so one in a very public place like her hotel a a second choice. I personally don’t worry about the fee. I only take around $200 for small items
  9. Online banking you can literally pay the credit card same day so no interest
  10. Yes it can but most people no longer get it so finding copies are now hard
  11. I pay the cruise customary tip only. How it’s split or what they get paid is not my concern
  12. If you don't tip more than 18%, after 30 drinks of extra tipping, I pay for two additional drinks.....so the end result is the same
  13. This makes no sense to me. On the ship, if you pay for it, you pay 18%. If you are tipping more than 18% that is not normal. Plus, it is not tipping culture, it is customary tipping, which is 18%. So, everyone tips him, 18%.
  14. So the first issue was fixed. But what is the second issue, that the ship has two fixed times, and it is moved 30 minutes? I'm pretty sure no matter how much you complain, they are not moving the entire ships dining plan for you.
  15. Many people buy things that are not needed for convenience. However, you already paid for it, so need to double the price. But it is your choice, not ours. For anyone that doesn't like room temperature water, all water out of the tap, at home, or most places is warm, until it has ice in it, or chilled. Even if you carry water off the ship, most likely it is not cold. Personally, I don't care, what temp it is.
  16. Yes you can, as a mocktail. Note a mocktail has no booze. So an Irish coffee on the refreshment package is just coffee......
  17. Did it. Than the barcode trick. Am on central’ park 10th floor and completely happy. I wished for boardwalk but not unhappy. It’s going to be my first time and it was hugely cheaper
  18. Pay full price......get first pick Pay reduced priect....get leftovers. This has always been that way. I'm pretty sure if you cancel on the ship, all you get is OBC. Will it work? Seems like a lot of hassle, just to get a time slot. Plus in theory, you can cancel on the ship, and before it can be rebooked, someone else booked the newly opened slot, which would be funny.
