  1. I checked on yelp and saw that as of September 2022 the train was still shut down from Covid but it is being offered for my cruise in February. Is there anyone that has information about this that can chime in. I would hate to spend the amount this tour costs only to find out on board that the trains are still shut down. Thank you!
  2. There is a reef that would not be cool to remove. Also, it is my understanding that there is no good place to put a pier and have it be protected from weather, etc. I think all those things are factored in.
  3. You left out the other two choices. Go around in smelly clothes....or naked. :D
  4. It is totally dependent on things like how many rooms are left on your sailing, prices of your sailing, etc. So basically there is no way past bids can give you an idea of what to bid to win.
  5. Don't get too excited, the inflation numbers today will take back most of yesterdays gains.
  6. Has anyone done this one? It is expensive (for us) and it sounds nice but I would hate to spend this much and be disappointed. Would love to hear others experiences.
  7. NCLH and RCL are both a month out, first week of November, so there is recovery time from now to then.....but I am sure other things will not help (Fed, Inflation, war, etc, etc)
  8. Sorry it didn't work for you, but at least you didn't hold it. Looks like it will finish down 20% total at this pace.
  9. I have made about 3% on covered calls, which is a very small number compared to what the entire portfolio I have has lost.
  10. It almost touched 7 flat. Wow. So how many shorts do you still have open? I know it may be crazy to say but I would be itching to close them after a week of re-testing June lows capped off by a Friday like this for all 3 of the cruise stocks.
  11. Call starting now, from what I saw in the report, nothing was terrible, they just missed Wall St. expectations.... Nothing else changed, they are still making more then last quarter, etc, etc. Good day to be a short though.
  12. @CDR BensonThank you for including your account of the room. I am booked in the same room for a Panama transit in Feb/March of next year. It sounds like I will have 15 days of pure joy with that room.
  13. Based on number of beds laying about the decks and night club spots, I would say the opposite. LOL
  14. My work has taken a turn towards buried, which is no fun. I need to go read up on our stock thread! Hopefully CCL doesn't make it any worse then the Feds already did last week.
  15. Totally a person to person thing. I want to eat my breakfast on my balcony in silence. If it lasted more then a few minutes I would have asked the stopped or went into their room. They need to think of all the cruisers on a ship. Not everyone wants to have an musician on a neighboring balcony. But again, this is just my opinion....
  16. I have to say mine for my December cruise did in fact have my and my mothers names on them, and that was for a Club Balcony.....Then a last minute Haven in February I of course had nothing mailed....
  17. Yup, I am pretty sure I even said in this thread that the only time I sailed Princes was the worst cruise I was ever on. The ONLY reason I would give them another chance would be to try their version of ship within a ship.
  18. Well, I think we respectfully dissagree. If your MDR standards went down, I would not blame the ship within a ship. Over the years I would say NCL has actually upped their MDR game. As for losing the lobster, that happened on basically every line as a cost saving measure, and had nothing to do with the ship within a ship. I think you are seeing things that happened at the same time and looking for something to pin the blame on. RCL got rid of the lobster and had no ship within a ship at all until their ship that just came out this summer. So here it is for you. I have sailed ship within a ship. ON THE SAME SHIP I have sailed in a balcony room (again, more than once in each). YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR. It was still a great cruise. I still had a great time, with access to great MDR food (ate it every night), enjoyed the theater shows without issue of getting in, the casino, there were loungers and a great lido deck. I was able to embark and debark without any issues or extra waiting..All of it was still there for the taking and I took it. As a matter of fact this video is of me watching Choir of Man, from my steerage seats I suppose (Non ship within a ship trip) just last year. As you can see the cheap seats sure are horrible.....: I hope that helps you in terms of easing your fears, but it looks like you have your mind set.
  19. Actually, they are boarded from a different area, in a different entrance, and go to a totally separate area. They don't at all change the rest of boarding (which works just as it always did), they just get their own line and private area. So in this way you are absolutely not portraying it as what it truly is. I have done both ship within a ship and regular rooms on the same ship multiple times, it really has no effect on the regular room boarding.
  20. They just have to, priority embark and debark is one of the top perks of ship within a ship.
  21. If you look at my signature you will see that I do. I am in this thread because I am EXCITED that Princess is doing ship within a ship. I wrote them off years ago for having dated, boring, and really run down ships when I sailed on the Grand.....this might be my way back in. I am reading to see if the product has improved since I was on back in 2007.
  22. But you are missing the point. Those of us who love ship within a ship love it because the luxury lines don't provide us with the entertainment, nightclubs, casino vibe, and tons of eating choices that the big ships do. We choose to cruise this way because we love the big ships and what they offer, and also love to be able to go to a quiet area where they cater to our every need. It is NOT the same product that the luxury lines small ships offer.
  23. That would be American Diner, and it is pay to play, just to be clear....all the others are included in your fare. (American Diner is free for Haven guests on embarkation lunch).
  24. Just understand that the reason other lines are doing ship within a ship is because NCL consistently shows that the Haven guests have the highest on board spend (huge for the lines) and those 3+10% of the rooms on this new ship (based on NCL numbers) actually account for about 50-60% of the total fares collected....so, that is why the areas get bigger and bigger, and also why they concentrate so heavily on them while not worrying as much about the inside room that sleeps 4 with multiple pull down beds.
