I saw on the bidding thread that one individual had an opportunity to bid on a RS from AQ for roughly $100 per day for two people and elected not to bid.

You do not have what I just posted on your on line Princess booking? This is why I posted three pictures indicated to get to the information on your booking. There are not in order. Photo 2 (click On Board Reservation), then Photo 2 (click on upgrade now), and you will see the statement that your current bookings includes these items (including $15 limit) and which items are not included. Is this what you are trying to find for your booking or are you asking for something else? Are you saying that none of your bookings have this information?

I apologize for all my typing errors. I will report my experience on board. I have no problem trusting Princess.

Hit the upgrade button and you will see this which clearly includes drinks up to $15. Although it is specifically stated it also includes the internet (even though it costs more now) and the crew appreciation ( has also increased for new bookings)

They could, but they will not even consider doing what you suggest. Are you really serious?

No. If you look at your booking on line and look at upgrading, it will show what you do not get unless you upgrade. The good news is that you get the higher cost drink limit.

I embark on 1/17/23 and I report my experience. I am not concerned about it. I have not problem trusting Princess and they have been more than fair IMO.

I suspect that Princess is going away from the Generic list of unnamed wines available on the Plus package. They must have received a lot of complaints and puts them in an inferior position compared to the competition. I live in the Chicago suburbs and I see wines by the glass at those prices all the time. Most are even more.

I have good news for you. (Based on my booking). You can log into Princess’s website and you reservation and follow these steps. You will see that my limit is $15 on the Plus package.

Since the limit is now $15, the world is now upright.

Thanks. You have some very recent real life experience. I agree with the bottom line from most of your points, but not necessarily the reasons. We can compare notes when I return from my 15 day Emerald Panama cruise next month. We purchase the “package when it was only $40 a person per day (not called Plus) and you are so right. It was a screaming bargain. With the new prices, Princess is getting closer in price to her competitors.

When was your most recent Princess cruise? I am on a Princess cruise next month, so I will see for myself. I will be paying close attention to Silverado’s Sauvignon Blanc. I will see if it above $16 or higher as you suggest. I believe it was around $12 four or five years ago.

Perhaps, but the difference between Cruise only and AI is that the exactly the same in all cruises. I suspect the TA/Celebrity resolved the issue causing the difficulty. You may have paid the prevailing rate with the AI. Since it was after the final payment, they may have just charged you the difference. The Celebrity invoice (and maybe the TA’s invoice) would indicate what they did. I am fairly confident that the AI is not available as a separate stand alone item. Since you asked for the AI from the beginning, I am glad to received it.

Complaining about the expansion list of free drinks available? Speechless.

Four device premium internet for each person. Being able to make speciality dining reservations (no charge) in advance for the Royal Suite is a nice benefit IMO. Although not necessarily a published benefit, when staying in an Upper Suite one always seem to be able to change their reservation for Speciality Dining. Numerous times, when we change dates (based on the Luminae menus), I hear the Concierge call and start with there are no openings, but I have two guests staying in a XXX. Do not know the actual difference in price for you, but the RS is an excellent experience that is worth a premium. Financially a difficult experience. I do not know if this is important to you. You do not have a view of the Ocean of the Ocean from the bed. How much more does the CS cost than a corner Sky Suite?(sunset SS?). hiw much more for the RS over the CS? Good luck.

Perhaps they will realize that they made a mistake, but I think most people that did not previously pay the $40 or $50 say they do not drink enough for it to make sense. Therefore the almost certain increase in drink costs will have little affect on them. They will just need to pay more for the little that they drink. IMO it was very nice and smart of Princess to let people know that there was a price increase/new package coming. ticked off at themselves, but no good reason to be ticked off at Princess. They made the choice.

The exception might be the four device Wifi, which I believe is an RS amenity.

I checked my cruise. I only paid $40 for my Plus package. It clear reflects the drinks up the $15, WIFI (that increased in cost), and crew appreciation (that has also gone up in costs) are in my current Plus package. The New items are not included, which will not be implemented until 2/20 anyway are not included. I am amazed that so many people think that they will be shafted with the drink packages, will have have to pay more for wifi, and/or more for crew appreciation. Leaves me wondering what Princess has ever done to them to create such a lack of common sense/trust. I am not concerned at all. The pessimistic will be pleasantly surprised.

You are right and I was wrong, I obviously was confused yesterday. I have seen a list in another thread, but I suspect they are difficult to find. And they are not consistent..

Why wouldn’t you friend look for a Celebrity cruise with $0 solo supplement?

This appears to be a cruise offering a cabin with a $0 supplement. Even on other categories of cabins.

You never gamble in the casino on board a Celebrity ship? If not, why do they offer you a free cruise? Does the Blue Chip Club pay Celebrity for the cruises?

I am not an expert, but doesn’t the Blue Chip Club pay Celebrity for the cruises that they give or discount to their members? I find it hard to believe that all the money that is lost gambling is not much more profitable than Cruise margins. Hardly free to the cruisers IMO.
