  1. That is an odd one. I just looked at the cruise planner for the cruise you mentioned. I've never seen it missing still this close to a cruise.
  2. Yeah the Pasta day sale two days ago was really, really good. I nailed a couple more of those lunches when I saw that one. Is your Izumi the sushi or the hibachi
  3. I'll be watching for that as well. The only thing left I'm hoping for deals on is Labadee. I've got, what I suspect will be, the best deals possible on everything.
  4. Yeah that is about the same for my Adventure Key purchase. I always purchase and embarkation day specialty lunch. When you combine that with the internet I'm coming out ahead even if I don't use any other benefit.
  5. This is a real sale... With this sale my saving have included Chops 51.99, has been 57.99 for over the 12 months I have been tracking Ditto for Izumi Hibachi Chops lunch 23.99 on Harmony and 20.99 on Adventure, has been 26.99 and 23.99 respectively, for over the 12 months I have been tracking Sabor 19.99, has been 21.99 for over the 12 months I have been tracking The Key 18.99, has been bouncing between 29.99( regular) and 20.99 (so called sale) for the six months since I first purchased it. There may be other deals I just noted the things I had purchased that I could cancel and rebook.
  6. For all the griping we read about no real sales I'm surprised nobody has said "boo" about the cruise planner sale that kicked off today. There were some genuine discounts that I was able to take advantage of. I was able to cancel and rebook. Several individually purchased Chops, Jamies and Sabor meals. Beverages were about the same as was internet but I was able to cancel and rebook "The Key" for my Adventure of the Seas sailing in February for only $18.99. That is barely more than I would have paid for internet all by itself.
  7. Thanks for coming back and letting us know how it worked out... It's always nice to know the rest of the story. 🙂
  8. Royal needs to needs to change the wording from "Sold out" to something that indicates that people need to book on board as soon as get on.
  9. They have multiple tables that stagger their seating time by 15 minutes.
  10. Ditto for me too. I've cashed in 3 times on these offers but nothing on my card so far. The last time I took advantage of it it was reported available here on CC but didn't show up on my offers for about a week. Check back every now and again. Hopefully it is just slow getting there. 🙂
  11. Definitely! We've had the UDP on Odyssey and Oasis and would gladly get it again on those or similar ships if the price is right. Last time was on Oasis in March. I think I paid $225 plus 18%. At that price on a 7 day cruise I think it is good value. Right now the best price I've seen for our upcoming harmony cruise is $289. I'm struggling to see that as good value. We've decided this time to just purchase a few specialty lunches on sea days and one dinner a la Carte dinner. Value is subjective but I know where my threshold is.
  12. Did you do MDR each night? How did you find the service.
  13. I had no problem. We had 4 of us in an Ultimate OV cabin and the attendant turned the bed back into a couch in the morning service and then came back while we were at dinner set it back up again. He did nothing else during that evening service but at least the bed wasn't in the way all day.
  14. DW is the same your husband. She'll go once but that is it. I go at least two times. I love the Ice shows. You are right the front row is the best way to see them.
  15. My favorite thing about southern CA is roadside taco vendors. A guy and girl with a grill and a little tent on the side of the road is a great lunch or evening snack. Street tacos are the best!
  16. That'd be perfect. That Double tree was already on my radar since I prefer Hilton properties and stay in them whenever possible.
  17. Since NYC is currently the conversation this isn't too far off topic. I am scheduled to board Liberty 11 months from now for a Canada/NE cruise. I've never been to NYC before so I'm planning on going in three days early. I've just started looking into planning for this and I've got a couple of questions. First question is should I fly into Newark or JFK? Originally I thought I'd fly into Newark since that would be the easiest on embarkation morning but after thinking about it I'm reconsidering the idea. Since I'm going to spend three days in NYC flying into Newark and staying in Newark might be a dumb idea. Should I fly into NYC and stay closer to where I'll be visiting or should I stay in Newark near the cruise port. If I stay in Newark what should I do about transport each day getting into NYC. Or conversely, if staying in NYC what is my best option for transport to Cape Liberty on cruise day? Is staying near JFK to far from the city and will I find it inconvenient travesing back and forth each day. My plan for the time in NYC is the usual tourist favorites; The 911 memorial and museum, Time Square, Empire State Building, Central Park, Broadway show (which is TBD) and whatever else I can squeeze in after that. any other suggestions are welcome.
