  1. Our wi-fi included in our promotion on Onward this summer was the hi-speed.
  2. We primarily eat in MDR and other than the repetition, we normally enjoy the food. In fact , it was very good on Onward last month. We purchase the Chef’s Table plus two package, and eat in each of the specialty restaurants once per cruise. There really isn’t much variety there either. I also like that you can request shared tables in MDR.
  3. Thanks to everyone for the recommendations. I had been hesitant about booking the Intercontinental since it was so much more expensive than other hotels in the area, but decided the convenience was probably worth it. I’ll see if our driver in Cape Town can take us somewhere to store our bags. Diana
  4. In Bodo we pre-booked a taxi for 8 people to take us to Saltstraumen for an hour.
  5. We actually stayed in Bergen for a few nights prior to the cruise, and then did the “Norway in a Nutshell” tour which included the Flam train. It was a very long day, but the scenery was beautiful.
  6. My husband and I will be on a cruise in March that leaves from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for a pre-cruise stay?
  7. North Cape Tour-we did it with Blue Puffin Tours in Honningsvåg last month. We also did a small group tour in Ålesund. Tour was with LocalTrips AS (booked through Viator). It was called Land of the Trolls.
  8. Neither my travel agent or I have received the email.
  9. We’re staying in Johannesburg for 2 nights prior to flying to Victoria Falls for a couple days. We will then fly back to Johannesburg for our Azamara pre-cruise Micato safari. Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel in Johannesburg that isn’t too far from the airport in a safe neighborhood? In Cape Town we’re looking for a hotel with day rooms as our flight is at 8:15 p.m. on disembarkation day. Diana
  10. B2B cruisers can book specialty restaurants at the B2B meeting normally held the day prior to the second cruise.
  11. We were on Onward July 13-August 11. It was done in the large group. We didn’t have to attend the second one for our B2B because we didn’t change cabins.
  12. I wish Azamara would mention the cruise fund. Having sailed with them for 12 years, we know about it and always donate. However, new travelers don’t know about that option. It’s on my list to mention when we get our survey for the cruise we got off today.
  13. We stayed on for the Iceland Intensive after Norway. Staff Captain changed to James Peter Brennan, but the rest are the same.
  14. We’re on the second leg of a Back to Back. The Norway Intensive had an offshore event (although at a different venue than originally indicated), and the Iceland cruise has an onboard event. We had 2 offshore events last year in Kusadasi and Kotor, neither of which I could attend because of walking difficulties.
  15. Last year, it was 5 p.m. the first day on our cruises. Bad timing because it was sail away-didn’t attract many people.
  16. We’re currently on the second of B2B cruises on the Onward, and it has been held port side of The Living Room at 6 p.m. boarding day both cruises. It’s been in the Living Room (port side) both times. There were no signs and no one there (as far as I know) for the current cruise. The last cruise, everyone sat on the couches and chairs at the back.
  17. One reservation number-same cabin.
  18. I received separate offers for each cruise. I’m happy with the cabin I booked so didn’t bid on either offer.
  19. We had a lot of OBC last year and found several reasonably priced wines on the bottle list.
  20. We’re on a B2B next month. I just searched my “trash “ for the upgrade offer we received. Under “Your Cruise Details” it shows 17 nights which is only the first segment.
  21. The bus transfer to Venice was to the old cruise terminal last year. Not sure how it would work with B2B passengers. Azamara sometimes arranges shore excursions for turnaround day.
  22. It was a year ago. Difference was $7 per day less the loyalty discount. Not sure what the difference is now.
  23. I’ve upgraded from premium to ultimate and received the loyalty discount on the difference.
  24. We had a lot of onboard credit last year so purchased some bottles of wine. They were much better than the wines included in the ultimate package, and many were under $40.
