  1. I think there’s a kernel of truth in all cliches. In this case it’s, “you only get one chance to make a first impression”. Never giving anything that you didn’t like much the first time a second chance can really limit your options. As much as you weren’t impressed with your experience, I think trying another Princess cruise is worth it, especially since you got a great deal on an itinerary that interests you.
  2. As I shared earlier, my travel summary for an itinerary including Belize and Honduras shows that they don’t require passports. While I personally wouldn’t travel without one, Princess will allow travel with WHTI compliant documents on this itinerary
  3. As I originally said, they might want to to do the math based on their expected expenses, including however many individual days of wi-fi they plan to purchase, and see if it might be a cost savings, especially if the OBC is non-refundable.
  4. Document requirements are here https://www.princess.com/en-us/faq/pre-cruise Princess specifically states that the only closed loop itineraries that require passports for Americans are those that visit Martinique and Guadeloupe. Like Turkey, Honduras and Belize currently waive passport requirements for cruise ship passengers
  5. I’m not sure what you mean. When you say you got “ exactly what you would have received on a non AU cruise” are you talking about value or number of dollars? The 200 USD OBC due to those on a casino cruise was converted to about 300 AUD in October. Not a 1:1 exchange rate but the current rate generally used for exchange at that time so yes, exactly what would have been received in USD.
  6. I believe it’s still possible to order multiple main courses in the MDR with the exception of lobster although I’ve never done it.
  7. Not all OBC is converted to USD 1:1. OBC due on casino bookings is converted at the current rate of the sailing date, it was 2:6 on our last cruise. OBC due from Shareholder credit is granted in AUD per the shareholder benefit document, not converted from USD. My biggest concern was that they offered an exchange rate of 1:1 when using USD gift cards to pay charges made in AUD.
  8. The 2 specialty dining credits are per cruise, no matter what the length. It’s apparently as true for the world cruise as a 4 night. If you booked a 14 day also sold as two 7 night cruises, you still only get two. Only one main course is included but it is possible to order an appetizer, soup, salad, entree, multiple sides, and dessert. An extra entree can be purchased. It’s $10 at the Crowne Grill
  9. The only thing I’ve seen is that it’s been combined with the Crew Call feature. Both are accessed using the Chat button. I haven’t used it yet though
  10. You made a good point. Not sure what in what country the OP lives. I assumed US or Canada. No shipping for anyone else at any price!
  11. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/terms-and-conditions
  12. Yes. and free shipping of medallions as well. Everyone just needs to consider what they typically spend. Deciding if Plus or Premier are a good value is easy then. I always think Premier makes good sense for an extra $20 on those short 4 night cruises if you are someone who’d want specialty dining a couple of times anyway.
  13. I think it’s more about what you drink than “heavy drinking”. For wine drinkers, Plus is a big money saver. My math is as follows Plus costs $60/day Crew Appreciation $16 Cappuccino ($4 + 18%) $5 Water ($2.50 + 18%) $3 Glass of Wine ($15 + 18%) $17 Total 🟰 $41 If the OP feels that would be typical, they can easily see if it makes more sense to pay an extra $19 per day to buy the Plus Package or purchase wi-fi by the day
  14. Your Travel Summary shows the document requirements for your itinerary in the Important Notices section on the last page. Mine for an upcoming sailing that includes Roatan shows it as only needing WHTI compliant documents Document requirements depend on your nationality, itinerary, and other factors though. For example, if one adult is traveling with one or more minors, Princess requires everyone in the party to have a passport. You can see Princess’ Travel Document requirements here https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/pre-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise
  15. Agreed! As staff move around, everything can change
  16. Good for you! I tried booking that trip with the overnight stay at the bottom of the canyon a year in advance in hopes that my first grader would grow enough to meet the height minimum. He ended up a centimeter too short. He’s 35 now, but I’m still a little wistful about it 😂
  17. I ignore these requests from PVP’s. I had a terrible experience with one and prefer to stick with handling everything myself. She somehow attached herself to all of my bookings and it took many requests to supervisors over a couple of years to get rid of her.
  18. It’s amazing how much it can vary. Two people at our table had that lasagna on the Enchanted last week and said it was great. It certainly looked nice. I think the message is that if something sounds good, order it. You can always ask for something else if you don’t like it.
  19. If you consider crew appreciation and just one coffee, bottle of water to take on an excursion and a glass or two of wine at dinner, it might make sense, especially if the OBC is non-refundable
  20. To get what they want done. That transaction is pretty simple. I haven’t had any trouble getting it taken care of. I always have to do it by phone since paying with gift cards isn’t an option on the website.
  21. Verizon is your cell phone provider and you’re not connected to cell service, just the ship’s wi-fi? How are you doing it?
  22. If you can’t do it online, you can always phone and asked them to add the upgrade.
  23. Hope you have a great cruise!
  24. You will see the time for check-in in the app.
