  1. You made a good point. Not sure what in what country the OP lives. I assumed US or Canada. No shipping for anyone else at any price!
  2. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/terms-and-conditions
  3. Yes. and free shipping of medallions as well. Everyone just needs to consider what they typically spend. Deciding if Plus or Premier are a good value is easy then. I always think Premier makes good sense for an extra $20 on those short 4 night cruises if you are someone who’d want specialty dining a couple of times anyway.
  4. I think it’s more about what you drink than “heavy drinking”. For wine drinkers, Plus is a big money saver. My math is as follows Plus costs $60/day Crew Appreciation $16 Cappuccino ($4 + 18%) $5 Water ($2.50 + 18%) $3 Glass of Wine ($15 + 18%) $17 Total 🟰 $41 If the OP feels that would be typical, they can easily see if it makes more sense to pay an extra $19 per day to buy the Plus Package or purchase wi-fi by the day
  5. Your Travel Summary shows the document requirements for your itinerary in the Important Notices section on the last page. Mine for an upcoming sailing that includes Roatan shows it as only needing WHTI compliant documents Document requirements depend on your nationality, itinerary, and other factors though. For example, if one adult is traveling with one or more minors, Princess requires everyone in the party to have a passport. You can see Princess’ Travel Document requirements here https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/pre-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise
  6. Agreed! As staff move around, everything can change
  7. Good for you! I tried booking that trip with the overnight stay at the bottom of the canyon a year in advance in hopes that my first grader would grow enough to meet the height minimum. He ended up a centimeter too short. He’s 35 now, but I’m still a little wistful about it 😂
  8. I ignore these requests from PVP’s. I had a terrible experience with one and prefer to stick with handling everything myself. She somehow attached herself to all of my bookings and it took many requests to supervisors over a couple of years to get rid of her.
  9. It’s amazing how much it can vary. Two people at our table had that lasagna on the Enchanted last week and said it was great. It certainly looked nice. I think the message is that if something sounds good, order it. You can always ask for something else if you don’t like it.
  10. If you consider crew appreciation and just one coffee, bottle of water to take on an excursion and a glass or two of wine at dinner, it might make sense, especially if the OBC is non-refundable
  11. To get what they want done. That transaction is pretty simple. I haven’t had any trouble getting it taken care of. I always have to do it by phone since paying with gift cards isn’t an option on the website.
  12. Verizon is your cell phone provider and you’re not connected to cell service, just the ship’s wi-fi? How are you doing it?
  13. If you can’t do it online, you can always phone and asked them to add the upgrade.
  14. Hope you have a great cruise!
  15. You will see the time for check-in in the app.
  16. Princess normally uses Havensight. You can check port schedules here https://www.viport.com/schedule-cruise-ports
  17. Have you sailed on the Emerald Princess? It’s more similar to the Sapphire than the Diamond.
  18. Room service takes care of it now. Just phone and let them know what items you want them to take and what we would like in exchange
  19. I was a loyal Celebrity cruiser until 2019 when I tried Princess for an Iceland and Norway cruise. At that time, I would have said Celebrity had much better food, but not any more. Princess has improved a lot and my last three cruises on Celebrity had very unimpressive meals. I think that the cabins on the Summit are fine but nothing special although I always liked the Sweet 16 balconies. On the Sapphire Princess, the extra-deep, half-covered balconies on Caribe deck are my favorite. They are twice the size of other balconies. Celebity’s big advantage for me is the non-smoking casino. For a short cruise it won’t be much of an issue but Princess has self-service laundry and very large closets that are a huge advantage on longer trips or if you’re bringing a lot of sports equipment like golf clubs or scuba gear. In general, I think Celebrity and Princess are more alike than different. Were Elite on both lines and I base my decision on itinerary first, then cabin availability and total cost including drinks, gratuities and internet.
  20. Finding dining companions on your roll call is a great idea! My one comment though is that walking straight in isn’t a good idea unless you eat right when the MDR opens. In my experience the hostess always prefers to let us know that our table is ready. There’s no telling if the people ahead of us might have taken a bit longer than normal to finish their meal.
  21. It’s possible that they just didn’t have any others waiting to share at the moment. If there’s no line-up of people outside the door, they’d have to have you wait till others came along. My guess is that their priority is to just get everyone seated. Sharing seems to work best when there’s a crowd waiting to get into the MDR.
  22. In my area $80 is the going rate for a 60 minute massage. I find the rates at resorts and on cruise ships not worth it. The massages are rarely as good as, much less better than, what I get at home. I switched from massages being an occasional treat while I am on vacation years ago. I get 90 minute deep tissue massages every four weeks at home and get much more benefit.
  23. Interesting! Verizon says you have to be using one of their data plans to use a mobile hotspot so I thought it was true for all phones with them.
  24. Not all cell phone providers will though. Verizon users need to be connected to cell service to use a hotspot.
