  2. To be fair, the same documents are acceptable for both land and sea border crossings. I personally wouldn’t travel without a passport though.
  3. You are correct, only proof of citizenship is required for Americans arriving by land or sea. Nexus cards (for Canada), passport cards, enhanced driver’s licenses, US birth certificates etc all work. Passport books are only required for air travel
  4. Passports for children under age 16 are only valid for 5 years. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/under-16.html#:~:text=Passports for children under age 16 are only valid for 5 years.
  5. Yes, I've been down that road holding babies and toddlers for passport pictures. It's always an adventure. We had one where the baby sat on someone's shoulders while everyone else sang a silly song. The fact that Princess won't allow one adult to travel with one or minors unless everyone in the party has a passport has caught people on this board by surprise a few times.
  6. Document requirements depend on your nationality, itinerary, and other factors. For example, if one adult is traveling with one or more minors, Princess requires everyone in the party to have a passport. You can see Princess’ Travel Document requirements here https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/pre-cruise/prepare-for-your-cruise
  7. One thing to note is that it’s possible to order from any of the menus no matter where you choose to eat.
  8. Looking back at pictures from June, I see we ate lunch at this place near the Accademia. It had nice outdoor seating and the food was very good. In my experience, pizza is usually relatively quick. I have in the past asked when being seated if the time I have will be enough when I know I must be somewhere after lunch. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187895-d1319869-Reviews-Oliandolo_Caffe_Ristoro-Florence_Tuscany.html
  9. To me, the prohibition of indoor smoking is the one thing that truly sets Celebrity apart from other similar lines like Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Carnival. It’s unbelievable to me that they all allow smoking indoors.
  10. Yes, you will generally get a credit onboard.
  11. That would be a remarkable adjustment to the itinerary! Thanks for the heads up on the typo 😂
  12. It is most likely that Nicaragua will be cancelled and replaced with a sea day. That decision may not be made until closer to the sailing. If you want to do something there, I’d be sure to only make bookings that can easily be cancelled. This is an example of a port where I might limit myself to ship excursions.
  13. We had a fantastic lunch at this spot in Taormina https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187892-d15021607-Reviews-3_4uarti_Antipasteria_Siciliana-Taormina_Province_of_Messina_Sicily.html
  14. Power strips are permitted if thu don’t have surge protection. If you don’t literally need to plug things in though, a USB hub is a great solution. They come in many configurations. I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BN3PHRVZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  15. As others have said, risk rises with age. Age limits are of course, not a perfect system for gauging risk though. Most operators do mention other requirements
  16. I think it’s more about who tour operators are willing to be responsible for. Their number one concern is getting everyone back on time. Weight and age restrictions may be designed to screen out those who may need assistance. It’s certainly an imperfect system but we were recently on a couple of excursions that required leaving and entering a catamaran to swim. It challenged quite a few and the crew really struggled to help a couple of them. I was concerned for everyone’s safety
  17. There’s an app called Ship Mate that would let you see a past itinerary. It’s great for tracking past and future cruises
  18. We are sailing out of Fort Lauderdale next month and have requested a crib for our grandson. I have the same concern as the original poster. If you could share the information on renting, I’d be very grateful
  19. Thanks for sharing. What a fun read! I’m ready to book that itinerary.
  20. I’ve had the same problem. Have you tried using a different browser or opening the website on your phone or a tablet? You can also use the app and see if that works.
  21. We did the Canada itinerary from New York that included Greenland in 2022 and I seem to remember a fair number of kids. That itinerary was longer, 16 days, and went right up to August 30. If we had teens there, I feel pretty sure you’ll see teens on the Island.
  22. Have you checked the Princess Lodges website? It has some good information. Here are activities at McKinley, ranger talks, walking trails etc. https://www.princesslodges.com/princess-alaska-lodges/mckinley-lodge/mckinley-amenities/
  23. No one said that there is no age limit booking direct. If you’re talking about my post, I shared a website for a company that offers snorkeling tours. I have no idea who even operates the Princess excursion
  24. You might try contacting this company. It appears that they provide the excursion for Carnival but give an email address for cruisers on other lines. They don't mention that you must be under 70. https://oceanvibes.com/rays-conch-reef-snorkel-adventure/
