  1. Great photos of you two @kalos. I'm pleased to hear you had a fantastic cruise.
  2. We have been on Iona 4 times now and enjoyed every minute on board. I wish you a lovely evening too.
  3. Hi @lindylooellalouise. Thank you for your nice comments. We were on deck 14. The clubhouse is on deck 8 as is the Sunset bar but we heard no noise.
  4. We live about 15 miles from Newcastle city centre. Yes Vera is recorded in our area although Vera is not from the North East of England.
  5. Our vicar's church sermon today mentioned everything you have said Sue. It is the start of Lent on Valentine's day so 2 things to look forward to.
  6. Good afternoon. It is 48°F, cloudy and windy here in North East England. At church this morning we found out the wife of our previous church warden died suddenly last week with a very aggressive cancer. I hope everyone on here is safe and well and cruise as much as possible. Take care.
  7. Thank you Joy. Oliver looks so sweet and huggable. Nice big garage.
  8. Before my heart attack 4 years ago I was in the gym most cruise days lifting weights and still put on average around 7lbs. I have always lost the cruise weight quickly by not drinking alcohol once we are back at home. I just need to figure a way to lose at least 2 stones in weight from my regular weight.🤔🥴
  9. Thank you. I'm pleased you have lost any cruise weight although you looked very slim when we met you. Your dog looks lovely and runs fast.
  10. Sandi @StLouisCruisers. Fabulous photos Sandi of Alesund and yourselves.
  11. This is fantastic news. We were also on Iona November 11-25th and if you had been on this cruise we would have loved to meet you.
  12. Good afternoon. Thank you to all contributers for making the Daily a special place to come to. Father David's sermon was so true today. Our former church warden Paul had been poorly with cancer but this morning we were all shocked and saddened to hear his dear wife Julia has just died suddenly with a very aggressive cancer which they thought was covid. We all should thank God for every day we live and to make the most of every day. God bless.
  13. Light in the darkness! Wishing you a very happy Sunday. God bless, David 😀 https://youtu.be/h6GGxbH-V08?si=OxJsCJhvjJJug-P8
  14. Thank you. I'm happy to post photos for lovely people like you to enjoy. I'm sorry you had to cancel your Iona cruise last year and hope your op was successful and you can cruise again soon.
  15. Thank you Gill. We rarely drink alcohol at home and the bottle of white wine and bottle of Sparkling water in the speciality restaurant every night is a big factor in my weight gain during a cruise.
  16. Good morning. It is 8°C and cloudy here. I'm pleased to say I am back to my pre-cruise weight. I hope everyone has a great day.
  17. Thank you Sandi. The banana was sliced and underneath the lovely ice cream.
  18. I'm so sorry to hear your good friend Scott is very poorly Sandi. I hope the hospital can find out what is wrong with him and give him treatment to make him better. Sending prayers 🙏 to Susan and Scott.
  19. I'm so sorry to hear you are not well Jane and sending prayers 🙏 you can get appropriate treatment to make you well again. Graham x
