Do you happen to know if these list are likely to be basically the same on all ships? Thanks
-
Hope you symptoms are mild and you are soon testing negative.
-
Really enjoying your trip report and we too enjoy the 'games' on board. It's a fab way of getting to know the production cast. Enjoy cashing your Regent points in at the end of your cruise.

Thank you. I take it if you don't test negative you stay in quarantine until you do? It is hard to keep up with it all as it changes so quickly. My cousin recently tested positive whilst on holiday in Mallorca and rang the airline to change their flights home only to be told that as long as they masked and didn't have a fever they could fly home, if the wished. No they didn't wish and rearranged their flights for 6 days later. I will add that they were on a basic cheap airline.

This may be a silly question but after knowing a few people who have been testing positive for up to 12 days, do you have to get a negative test, or two consecutive negatives to be released from quarantine? Glad you are still keeping your spirits up and hope the cocktail making goes well and you enjoy them.

Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Glad you had no side affects from the vaccine. Are you on the Cape Town to Rio cruise and are you in the UK? -
New Specialty Dining Reservation Time
Boatmans Lady replied to Roccaforte's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Hi, also in the UK and recently did our reservations for our cruise. Just did them when we woke up, so about 8am Uk time (03.00 EDT) and as far as I could see, all times were available in both the restaurants. We are in a penthouse, so hope this reassures you. -
Voyager from Rome to Trieste, 1st to 11th October.
Boatmans Lady replied to Gilly's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
I have to agree that port intensive cruise take some stamina if you do tours in every port. We have discovered that we prefer a mix of ports and sea days, or we just simply don't book tours in every port. I'm glad Voyager is in fine form and has ironed out earlier issues. Not long till we are back onboard 😀 Thank you for taking us along on your trip. -
Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
This is the information that the UK is obviously working from as they say there is no requirement to have it, so have refused someone the vaccination and a waiver as they aren't coming from any of the listed countries requiring it. Regent are stating we have to have the vaccination to leave the ship and waivers may or may not be accepted but we can sail but may need to remain on the ship when at the two stops in Namibia. I am going to print all the emails off and take them to our appointment and see what they say. There appears to be a fair bit of confusion over it all. -

Breakfast venue at pre-cruise hotel?
Boatmans Lady replied to peribit's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
In Rome, breakfast was in a vast ballroom and not great, but was edible and filled a hole till we boarded the ship. This was completely different to the hotel in LA. There we received a voucher and ate in the restaurant, which was very good. The difference, approx 400 passengers in Rome and about 20 in LA. -

So glad they have sorted ship luggage labels out it removes lots of stress. Have a good cruise and hope the weather stays good for you and you have calm seas. -
Another Regent Shore Excursion Question

We had our French Regent choice excursion cancelled and were refunded but it took 6 weeks to hit our CC. -
Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
I would be quite happy to have the shot, but having an underlaying health condition and being over 60 my doctor doesn't recommend it. All I'm trying to do is to make the best informed choice I can but it is very hard to source concrete advice when the Yellow Fever Centres (in the UK you have to go to one of these) are saying that it isn't required when you tell them your itinerary. I shall keep digging though and if it is a fairly recent change, we have a few weeks for the correct advice to filter through the bureaucratic channels. -
Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
I was told that it wasn't recommended for anybody over 60 or people who had certain medical conditions unless travelling to a very high risk area, which none of the countries we are visiting are and most importantly the countries we are visiting or coming from aren't on their list of countries that require it. I wonder if anybody else has any further information that they can add to the conversation. -
Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Thank you. After speaking with my doctors surgery today, they are recommending that we don't have the vaccination but have directed us to the nearest YF centre and they will guide us further. So it looks like an exemption certificate for us and if it isn't accepted, we won't be getting off in Namibia. -

Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Regent haven't stated that we won't be allowed to board, only if we haven't got documentation of vaccination IF required we would have to remain on the ship whilst in port. They also say that a waiver letter may not be accepted. See excerpt below. It is ultimately the decision of the local authorities regarding what documentation they choose to review and accept. In the event you do not have proof of a Yellow Fever Vaccination or a medical waiver letter is not accepted you will be required to remain onboard while the ship is in that specific port. -
Yellow fever vaccination required for Namibia?
Boatmans Lady replied to RosieRuby's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
I too have been scratching my head over this email and will be contacting my travel agent to get clarification as we too are flying into Cape Town to board Voyager and our first port of call is Namibia. I wondered if it was a blanket email as many nationalities sail with Regent and Regent won't be aware if people have travelled in risk areas previously. -
New Cruise deposit cancellation penalty
Boatmans Lady replied to Eager2Travel's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
It is surprising how much difference there is between different countries with the T&C's. It certainly makes you think very carefully about committing to a cruise far in the future. -

Air Schedule for Upcoming Cruise
Boatmans Lady replied to Turn 8A's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
We have Virgin and KLM long haul flights early in 2023 and it was free to book seats on the Virgin flight, so I went ahead and reserved two, but KLM are chargeable so won't do them till the flight has been ticketed. Also in the UK
