  1. Now that we are getting a wine discount without having to buy a dining pkg, let's hope they are well stocked on bottles of wine. Might be best to buy what you like early on. 😇
  2. When you board go to one of the specialty restaurants and make your reservations. You don't have to do first night. I wouldn't waste 3 night dining pkg on Johnny rockets.
  3. Same in our house. I like a couple Indian dishes, but Eric is not a fan and he has to avoid spicy food.
  4. I'm so exciting for everyone going on the Bella cruise. I hope those with internet can share stories and photos. Is anyone doing a live review?
  5. Congratulations to the newlyweds. What a wonderful venue for their wedding. Everything looks perfect. Wow, Fireworks too!!!
  6. I'm surprised you have never heard a cat make that chirping noise in the past. I think just about all of my cats have made this noise usually when they are "stalking" prey. Maybe because most of my cats have been part-time outdoor cats (in and out during the day then inside all night). This weekend we introduced Petey (our recent rescue kitty that is about 8 or 9 months old) to You-Tube Cat TV I thought for sure the TV hanging above the fireplace was going to come down. He was going bonkers and finally figured out how to jump onto the fireplace mantel then started batting the TV and had both front paws around the back of the TV and was hanging after he saw a bird on TV fly off the screen.
  7. We had issues with a VPN while onboard Anthem January 2022. Never had the problem before but the Voom desk tried their best to get us up and running since we were scheduled to be onboard for 24 days. They reached out to our work IT dept but were unable to work it out due to firewalls, etc. Sadly, we got off the ship after our first 12 day cruise was over. By the time we boarded for our next b2b March 2022 all was worked out and we had 2 different VPN options loaded on work laptop just incase.
  8. We were on Anthem 4x last year, most recent cruise was December and we did not need reservations for any show.
  9. That is really odd. We didn't need DOB to make reservations for Chops or Jaimies on our linked cruise end of March. I don't think I needed them last year when we had a linked cruise then. Is this something new?
  10. Yes, I totally agree. When the ship docked at a port for the day, the passenger ended up getting off the ship (without his luggage - just enough personal stuff crammed into a backpack) and pretended he was going on an excursion but actually flew back home. This way he was treated as a "no show" when the ship left the dock at end of the day. He had a recent review on CC about the event. I believe he got the idea when guest services told him he was Not allowed to leave the ship with his luggage.
  11. Probably was lower in the hospital if he was on a IV with fluids. Eric tends to run "dry" they are always telling him he needs to drink more water because of the meds that dry him out. He listens for a while but gets tired of having to go to the bathroom all the time.
  12. Is it Charlie's creatinine they are looking at? Eric runs anywhere from 1.3 to 1.8 on most labs and some doctors question that as being high but transplant doc says that perfectly normal range for a transplant person. Our special men are a delicate balance and when they start messing around with meds it can be very frustrating.
  13. Oh yes, we know all so well about lab work. NO, such thing as "normal" labs. We, also, know that most Doctors in a hospital or an ER do not always know how to handle transplant patients. Eric has had some that want to make changes to his meds then he gets home and does a follow up with his transplant Dr who tells us NO he is Not allowed to take that med for x y z reason. I hope Charlie is in good spirits and all goes well with his follow up visits.
  14. All the covid tests that I know of sold in pharmacies are done by swabbing the nose. That is all that is needed. I have not seen any of the mouth tests. Again, the honor system.
  15. For a port intensive med cruise I would pick late diner and enjoy the ports as long as you can. You will most likely be tired after long port days. On days you may return to the ship early then grab diner at the buffet, solarium bistro, El loco or one of the other pay places such as playmakers then attend your game shows, etc. Don't overthink it, go with the flow and enjoy a beautiful vacation.
  16. Remember you can always book items on cruise planner then hope for great sales on black friday.
  17. You do not need a smart phone to do self administered, un-supervised test their website states they will accept. Just bring the negative test strip in a clear plastic baggy. It's the honor system they are using. I'm not sure how long those negative stripes appear on a test. I imagine they fade away over time so that may be the answer.
  18. On my way home from work we had freezing rain/sleet and now we have a blanket of snow. Calling for change to rain and a slushy morning commute.
  19. Yup, cruise lines have stopped downlining. Read on a recent review that someone with a family member dying back at home was not granted permission by port authority/customs to disembark early. Most cases the ship and/or passenger get fined a sizeable amount $$$$
