  1. You do realize there are several Anthem cruises impacted by the 4th engine being down. Even the TA sailing from UK to NJ was notified of a delay for their stop in Bermuda. It is unknown when the engine will be repaired. Sorry you didn't get their emails and the CSRs are always the last to know what's going on. There will always be another time to get to Atlantis. I'm sure the kids will lots of fun at CocoCay.
  2. Customer service years ago was much than nowadays for just about any company with a call center.
  3. I hear ya!! We haven't seen the sun since we got home Sunday. Haven't been able to mow with how wet everything is. Forecast says sunny Sunday, fingers and toes crossed they are right.
  4. VERY Nice! I'm always amazed with how much room there is on RVs. Question, do you remove all items from countertops when driving?
  5. Such a shame that Jewel handled the process much different than Serenade handled the disembarkment on our sailing. The last you want to do when feeling crappy is walk all over the ship, terminal and parking lot lugging your luggage. Seems like they had no compassion whatsoever. I would probably send an email mbayley and let them know they could do better. I hope you are feeling better every day.
  6. Sorry for late response....busy busy day. We walked off the ship and went to the left of the dock where they have stands for locals selling their excursions. We bought one for $25/pp that did a tour of the south end of the island - which is beautiful and very interesting to see the salt flats, pink water, lots and lots of flamingoes, diving sites and lighthouse, then off to Sorobon beach. Absolutely gorgeous water at this beach and nice little beach restaurant serving good food (I heard) and beverages. Then after the beach the small van with a total of 3 couples (6 adults) drove through the man groves (saw lots of donkeys hanging out in shady areas) saw various homes then back to the port. For $25/pp it was a great day. We then walked around town and did a little shopping and took in the sights. I did see the water taxi that can take you over to Klein beach (mini island off the coast of bonaire) that is great for diving and snorkeling.
  7. Thats good to hear he was okay after Paxlovid. I did notice a lot of coughing too. I'm always worried about my DH since he is a transplant recipient and try to steer him away when I hear a bunch of coughers. Did they move you from your original cabin to a quarantine cabin?
  8. Sorry to hear you missed CocoCay. I guess third times a charm didnt work for you. We went to the beach club and had a really nice day. We also had a great day in Bonaire.
  9. You are correct, no facial recognition at Boston terminal. We got stuck in a long line that didn't move for quite awhile. Any idea how many on our sailing had covid?
  10. I was on that Serenade sailing. Loved the cruise but boy it sure was hot on those islands. Sorry to hear you both got covid. Hope you are feeling better.
  11. I hope you like it. We have booked these cabins on this ship class many times. I love having the large table on balcony to enjoy room service breakfast on balcony. Hope you have a great cruise.
  12. That's horrible they didn't help with luggage or provide a Cart, especially when you're sick. Did the crew and immigration/customs people have masks on? How are you feeling now? I heard there were some covid positive on our sailing too. No idea how many. Guess it will be a regular thing every fall like flu season.
  13. We always enjoy the extended balconies on deck 7 aft. I know a lot of people don't like because they feel they are not as private as others but we hardly saw our neighbors. We were just in cabin 7660. If you go with deck 8 or 9 you definitely want to avoid this crew ladder obstruction on starboard side. I think it may be on port side too
