  1. We are in a Crown Loft in Feb and want to reserve specialty dining for dinner on Valentines Day. Will I have to wait to do this onboard? Will the Suite Concierge do this for me (if they contact me in advance)? Thank You.
  2. This is a drop in the bucket compared to the uneaten fruit that gets wasted (and disposed) in the Windjammer buffet every single day. Same for a lot of other perishable items.
  3. Oh you just beat me to it!
  4. Thanks for your thoughts and opinions, Mr. Elvis1209. But I think I will still refer to your famous namesake legend as The Elvis.
  5. Probably true enough. But seek true medical advice from her doctor and medical professionals at Celebrity (for what is allowed and not) about THC/CBD alternatives for pain - that is my key point. Not advice from the posters here.
  6. Funny but true. Go to the Windjammer and "BYOF"!πŸ“
  7. I never implied customer service rep.
  8. Just saying that nobody here can definitively answer the medical question which is very important to her. We just spout off regulations which may be all true but no different than Celebrity stock answer. I never suggested calling a customer service rep. I think a connection to a medical professional within Celebrity corporate or RCG corporate might be helpful and definitive. Probably a no, but at least an honest try. Sorry I surprised you with my advice which maybe was not explained that well initially.
  9. @kitty9 Best wishes for your sister and glad she is doing better. Hopefully you will all have a great cruise. Instead of listening to the range of noise and responses here, if it were me I would just call Celebrity and explain the situation. You never know what happens but I would be up front about it. If the answer is NO, at least you tried. And there may still be time to get the oncologist to prescribe something else for the cruise duration. Best of luck!
  10. Drug sniffing dogs for one......
  11. I hope and think you are correct. The only way to get the suite prices lowered would be for Celebrity to have a difficult time filling them.
  12. The switch to the non-dedicated Retreat butler team for Sky Suites has been discussed to death here. Even as Celebrity marketing continues to promote the team concept as "better" (to poke us in the eye I guess). If you really want and need a personalized, dedicated butler, the reality is you now have 2 options. You either need to pay a lot more for a CS suite or above on Celebrity or choose another cruise line with a suite class that includes a dedicated butler. Continuing to pay for Sky Suites and pining away for a true butler is an exercise in frustration that will ruin your cruise. I did not use my butler much in many years of sailing suites on Celebrity, and my current direction has been to sail other lines' suites at a better price and without a butler. No big deal for me anyway.
  13. I've jumped to suites on Royal the next two cruises. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
  14. We were in a CL suite Deck 17 Harmony. It was really nice and very convenient to everything (CK and SL). We totally enjoyed Harmony. In Feb we will be in a CL suite deck 17 on Symphony. Looking forward to it. Have a great cruise!
  15. Jack is adorable and probably hard to leave behind. What breed?
  16. Yes we use Flexsafe too on cruise excursions. Never used it on the ship and no reason to really. I know it only takes one dishonest person but never had a problem on any Celebrity cruise. Never had anything missing from my cabin. Now I have absent-minded moments and have left reading glasses, phones, seapass cards, etc on dining tables or at bars on the ship. But the crew or honest passengers have always turned them in or they have been there when I go back.
  17. But was it the same quality or lower than a couple of years ago when maybe you paid $10?
  18. I agree with your comments. Celebrity seems to be sticking with the capacity of E-class which in fact is similar to S-Class. In the future who knows really, but nothing of much larger capacity on the known horizon. It does seem that the RCCL division of RCG has cornered the mega mega ship market. For many years running. And they always seem to fill the next in line mega ship at capacity so a lot of the cruising public is attracted to them for their own reasons. Celebrity cruisers here who do not like the mega ships have plenty of other choices without disparaging those who like to sail on them. In fact we are going on O-Class (Symphony 5500 capacity) in Feb and will definitely enjoy it. We are not big fans of E-Class ships but the Retreat on them is nice (but now way overpriced).
  19. Don't let facts get in the way of a good story here.πŸ˜€ Happy New Year!
  20. Not sure if you recall, but fairly recently Celebrity did away with the term Butler and replaced it with Retreat Host. The butlers did not like the name change so it went back.
  21. Actually it is about a butler versus a butler team. True first world problem.
  22. Just a thought here not being a lawyer. As the OP laid out their legal steps, evidence and discussion here on CC in a public forum, it would seem to me that would jeopardize the case?
  23. We did Allure then switched to Edge a couple years back. Both were great!
  24. @h20skibum Thanks for the great Symphony review and pictures. We are very much looking forward to our Symphony cruise in Feb.
  25. OP- Is it worth it (to you)? Nobody here can answer this question but you.
