  1. Four of us, all adults, stayed in a room with a pull-out couch close to airport (it was Marriott brand, had breakfast) then took Uber to cruise port next morning, ride reasonable, maybe $30. However searched but could not find hotel we stayed at. But wanted you to know trip to cruise port is not a terrible price from a hotel near the airport.
  2. @Linda W.not sure date of your cruise, if over how did you find the Interior on Deck 18? It is hard to tell if Interiors are indeed all the same size. I booked one on Deck 18 yesterday, limited choice, but as most people who choose an Interior say they are seldom in the cabin.
  3. This year I failed to do my research and booked March 31 on the Seashore out of Port Canaveral, first time in Yacht Club and there were many more kids than i anticipated, and not particularly well behaved either, although I must add I don’t completely blame the kids, parents were pretty oblivious to their kids behavior during dinnertime. However I remain a “cheerleader” for MSC.
  4. We were in an Interior on Seashore (March 31 cruise) and actually very pleasantly surprised at size and storage. Did get upgraded offers but never did it. Only three Interiors left on Seascape in November so decided to book, husband’s bday cruise, decided he was worth it - ha. Oh yes, husband is 6’ and space on Seashore worked ok for us, but everyone is different. I am relying on the fact that Seashore and Seascape have similar size Interiors. Perhaps on the Meraviglia if that is what is going out of NY the Interiors might be a different size. BTW we love the Mera but never cruised Yacht Club on her.
  5. Finding the same as you - just cruised yacht club Seashore and want to book yacht club Seascape in November and prices are $1,000 more than what I had paid - might pull the plug though - would be annoyed if they went up - btw how did you get the $100 off email?
  6. Oh yes, survey done. Behavior was observed evenings at dinnertime, somehow we were always seated very close to it. The last evening we left the dining room my daughter stopped to visit with a family she observed all week with well behaved kids during dinner, complimented them, well deserved after others we saw/heard. Didn’t intend to draw out my rant, apologies.
  7. It was our first Yacht Club cruise after 12 MSC cruises. From all I read ahead of time I feel everything was “average” compared to some of the other comments people raved about in their experiences. That’s not to say we didn’t have a wonderful time, we did. (Well apart from the whining/noisy/misbehaved kids that parents seemed oblivious to in the dining room - my one rant!) Will definitely try Yacht Club again on another ship. I realize every experience is different.
  8. If anyone interested, currently on Seashore as is @FamilyAtSea.travel but in Interior Yacht Club Cabins on Deck 19 and IMHO they are extremely spacious with ample closet and drawer space (not sure if Interiors on Deck 16 & 18 are the same), I would not hesitate to book these again.
  9. @APDMOMappreciate Curaçao notes, plan to follow your “path” in September.
  10. Easy Plus can be used - Easy cannot - there is a difference. Oops just read @Mags92 response, already answered.
  11. Yes your luggage will be moved for you. We always tell our steward early in the cruise that we are doing a B2B. We also take a couple large bags (such as as those $1.00 TJM bags) so we don’t have to get everything back into our suitcases for the move, makes it easier and quicker.
  12. So excited, thank you for your encouragement and words of wisdom, down to “single digits,” we have been on Divina several times (not Yacht Club) and love the ship, you too enjoy.
  13. Thank you very much, did it, worked, didn’t figure that one out.
  14. Do not wait for or expect anything by mail. You can check-in on-line 30 days prior to cruise. After you do that you should receive your e-ticket by email. If you do not call MSC and an Agent will email it to you. It will have a “bar code” necessary for checking in at Port as well as Luggage Tags for you to print out. 1) Process asks you to download pic, people have lots of trouble with that and it is not really necessary. You can have pic taken at Port. 2) It also asks you to enter “payment” info but that is done once you embark at a Kiosk on ship.
  15. I have gift cards that I want to use to pay for part of our cruise. I can enter each card and it says “accepted” but then it insists I pay off the balance. Can I not use gift cards for partial payment now and pay the balance at a later date?
  16. @At Sea At Peacequick off-topic questions as you are Yacht Club cruisers, have sailed MSC 12 times but never Yacht Club, trying it in two weeks. About luggage - do you take it to Yacht Club white tent check-in location? Also, we have been given checkin window, is that strictly adhered to? TYIA
  17. We did everything requested except “photo” as it was so aggravating and then I called MSC and Agent emailed me e-ticket immediately, I then printed that out which includes Boarding Pass and luggage tags. Oh yes, never entered credit card either, easy to do at kiosk on ship. Tried check-in on App too, no luck.
  18. Did Inaugural TA on Horizon in 2018 and just this week came across the ABC Islands in September on her, 8 night cruise, booked it, will be a 53rd Wedding Anniversary cruise, yikes, excited to read your review.
  19. Divina, Armonia, Seaside, Meraviglia, Seashore, more than once on all but Seashore, (Grandiosa booked but cancelled COVID time), next booking Seashore.
  20. Thank you @Beamafarfor following up on “liquor bottle” question, was out working in yard this morning, you got to it before me.
  21. @Morgsmom does each yacht club cabin still choose a bottle of tequila, vodka, etc.? Do you happen to have a wine list, hoping they have stocked up on “good” wine?
  22. Once you find out where to make reservations, and often it is Ocean Cay restaurant, go once you embark, very few will know about it that early in the game and you should be able to choose date/time you want. MDR will be on room card.
  23. I do know they take one at embarkation whether one is downloaded or not. I was able to download the picture of the primary person in each reservation which then allowed me to choose an embarkation time slot.
  24. Checked in two cabins exactly the same way, got e-ticket for one but not the other, called MSC and individual emailed the one i was missing immediately, so all is good.
