  1. Check out the gift shop- I got a candle that smells like the Boardwalk resort, so the Mouse has thought of that!
  2. They are heavily promoted, for the reasons that A&L Ont said. We might go to one for a round town commuter car, but Saskatchewan has long distances without charging stations. I don’t think it’s practical for that reason. And I haven’t seen a lot of electrically powered farm equipme I believe that it’s a rural vs city thing.
  3. Thank you! We’re kind of in procrastination phase of home renovation for this project. It may replace regrouting floors as our least favourite job!
  4. I tried to get a picture of my sparkly ceiling- I don’t know that it came out. We have several rooms of that. Beneath the sparkly ceiling, the rooms really suit us, so we are resigned to renovating. Our house is not open plan, and we like it that way. We’re fond of each other, but we have no desire to spend every second together! @Coralc , we will definitely have the ceiling analyzed- it’s not likely that there’s asbestos, but it’s possible. And we will definitely remove the ceiling before we put in new floors!
  5. 😂 I think we had the same cabin (we sailed the Panama Canal in November), and I found the bed comfortable! I suppose it just goes to show how difficult it is to satisfy everyone. I do think they should have replaced one of the bathroom sinks. Every time I was brushing my teeth, I noticed the crack.
  6. @Ozark_Kid, Happy Birthday! I’m glad the garden is being made accessible for your wheelchair, you seem to enjoy it a lot!
  7. Poor dear kitty. He has no idea that Thor, my son’s German Shepherd, is going to be spending 2 months with us while Jim is in the field. Thor loves cats. It’s one sided.
  8. We had an aft balcony on Rhapsody on a transatlantic. Probably they have all been booked, but I highly recommend getting one if you can! I really liked the ship, even though it’s a little dated.
  9. @firefly333 I would go with Fleur de Sel or Ice Cube. As many others have said, refacing the cabinets makes sense. Good luck on your surgery! Remember not to lift!
  10. @grapau27 and Sarah, my condolences. Obviously, I haven’t met you or Pauline, but I doubt that the reasons for the estrangement were your fault.
  11. Since we are both ex military and my husband now works for the RCMP, I think for the moment Egypt is not somewhere we want to go. It’s a pity, because a Nile cruise was looking appealing, but there is a big world out there, and that would be too much stress. Thank you for the information! These boards, especially the Canadian one, are useful.
  12. Very tempting. We are booked on Enchantment out of Tampa for the ABC islands in April of 2025- but my son has let us know that he’s probably being deployed from Christmas of 2024 to the summer. We are the alternate parents for his German Shepherd. Thor is a very nice dog, but we will probably move the cruise, because getting an alternate sitter for 2 weeks for a 100 lb German Shepherd is likely not going to happen. Oh well. It will give me time to work on his instinct to chase squirrels and jackrabbits. He is pretty good about that, but not perfect! By the way, that cruise is now insanely expensive. If it wasn’t for the destination, I wouldn’t have.
