  1. There were two bartenders preparing the drinks at the bar in the Explorers Lounge. If there was an additional bartender, he/she would just be in the way.
  2. It was not due to cost cutting. The bar staff in the room were just overwhelmed by the large number of orders from people in the room. They were working very hard to fill the orders the waiters took, but could not keep up. There were two bartenders preparing all the drinks, the normal size of the staff there.
  3. Did you ask for them? On other ships the PB cookies are kept where only staff can get them for you due to peanut allergies some people might have.
  4. I usually stop by the Customer Service Desk to make sure their system knows I am on a B2B. If the system works properly, your onboard account is carried over to the second segment instead of being closed out. Thus any unspent OBC is carried over. If doing a B2B with the transition day being in a USA port (other than in Alaska on round trip B2Bs), USA immigration requires that the passenger count goes to zero. o As pointed out above, if on the ship around 10 AM, you must meet as a group. In some cases the passport check will be done on board, but in most cases those continuing on and are in that group must leave the ship, be processed on shore and then let back on to the ship. o But you could instead leave the ship before 10 am to explore the city you are at. In that case, you can leave anytime once disembarkation has started and will be allowed to re-board once new passengers can start boarding. Take your passport with you to clear immigration when you exit the ship. In most non-USA ports on turnaround day there is no need to zero the passenger count, so you can either leave the ship to tour or stay on the ship with no group meeting required. If you are changing cabins, try to meet your new cabin steward in advance and arrange for you to move the contents of your cabin safe to the new cabin as soon as possible on turnaround day. As others pointed out, the cabin stewards will take care of moving your hanging clothes and packed luggage to the new cabin. If no changing cabins, let your cabin steward know there is no need to rush to service your cabin. On the 2nd segment you will not have to view the muster video again. You will use the same Medallion for both segments whether changing cabins or not. (I do not know at what point the Medallion changes from being able to unlock the old cabin door to the new cabin door.)
  5. And if you were cruising west to east, you would have the same date twice after crossing the date line. Go to sleep in the evening if it is Wednesday, you will wake up in the morning to it being Wednesday again.
  6. On a recent Ruby cruise, the Explorers Lounge was packed and the bar staff was only taking orders from waiters who were going around the room, taking the requests from the passengers. Some found it quicker to the the app to order a drink as it came from elsewhere and was delivered faster than if ordering after a waiter finally came to where you were to take down your order.
  7. The 10% off is now only if the full price is charged. Even a sale with only one cent off means no 10% elite discount.
  8. $39.35 Each or $39.35 total for both? Although the standard gratuity would be included for you, do you know if that 18% is additional or is included in the $39.95?

  10. No requirement to use Princess transfer. You can use any method you want including Taxi, Uber, Princess Xfer and Shanks' Pony.
  11. There have been other threads on the subject that basically said: o The company that Princess uses to answer phoned in questions about the Medallion and the App is also a Travel Agent. o As both a TA and answering Medallion questions, they have access (like any TA would) to information about you on the Princess computers. o The offer may be legit, but it is no bargain. o It is a promotion made by this TA, not by Princess. Threat this as you would any cold call from a Travel Agent.
  12. Being Elite in a full suite means you should get two mini-bar setups. If there is only one, contact Room Service for the 2nd one. If you like sodas, the advantage of having the mini-bar setups is that you can have canned soda which is not included in the beverage package.
  13. It obviously did not work for you. Nobody is saying you made this up. I am saying it should have worked. Princess did not accept the card as they should have. That is why I "keep saying it should have worked." It did not work, but it should have.
  14. The tourist infrastructure on Moorea cannot support a ship with the number of passengers the Majestic can carry.
  15. So were the people being turned away full suite passengers who had not pre-booked a reservation?
  16. Since the Enchanted was not built with the old style TVs like the Sapphire had, there will be no unused outlets from where old TVs had once been.
  17. Princess contracts with a company and that company selects the bus and driver. Often the bus companies get drivers from out of town who are very unfamiliar with Houston and the airports. This is not limited to cruise lines. Houston has a big rodeo over several weeks each year. There are park and ride lots that a bus then takes people to the Rodeo and later back to the parking lot. Often the drivers are from out of the area and truly have no idea how to get from point A to point B. I have been on more than one Park & Ride bus where the passengers had to tell the driver the route back to the lot.
  18. And if you are observant, you will see that people native to the area do not tip for same services that you are tipping for. Tourists, especially Americans, have changed the culture to expect that non-locals will tip.
  19. I often have been on a Princess excursion when the guide made one or more announcements "encouraging" tipping. Many times the bus will have a visible sign encouraging tipping. I also have been on locally operated tenders from ship to shore where the tender staff ask for tips.
  20. The excursion companies pay the people. Princess has no part in setting the payt for the tour guides and drivers.
  21. Whatever the full suites with a balcony get in benefits you will also get in a window suite.
  22. With a four device plan, one person could use 4 devices at one time. Although the goal of the OP is to have the four people each use a single device at a time, nothing would prevent one person for being signed in to more than 1 device at a time. (And logging off is not needed, because if you log in when no slot is available, it will automatically log off one of the devices and it might be any of the four, not the one that individual had been using.)
  23. But are enforced by port employees who are not Princess employees. The port employees usually will work different ships for different companies and not be acquainted with the finer details of each company's policies. So it is no surprise that some days the answer to this question is different, even at the same port.
  24. A Carnival Corporation card can be used on any of the Carnival Corp brand's ships., so it should have been accepted on board as well as pre-cruise.
  25. Since many of the ships now on the Alaska route are the largest in various companies' fleets, less ships can still mean more passengers than in the past.
