We were on Apex in September, we opted to try without a package as port intensive, decent OBC ,and Elite status. I was fine with limited choice , some cocktails/ G & T,  red wine for hubby, but felt like 2nd class citizens in the martini bar, the glasses are smaller than usual serves too. Eden was wonderful, and we had a lovely server most evenings, who always brought our usual, and was  tipped during and end of cruise for service.

Luckily I have  'A brass neck' as they say in Scotland, and ordered one after the other so at 18.55, had lots lined up.

Who made you feel inferior at the Marini Bar, staff or fellow passengers?  Was anyone actually comparing the size of their glassware to yours?

We just got off the Ascent yesterday, the ship is beautiful!  We had an awesome time!  The Captain’s club senior officers party was held in Eden but the Captain was a no show!  We found this to be strange, normally the Captain is there to greet everyone and make a short speech.  Has this happened before?

Too many possibilities. The captain could have been taking care of some urgent matter, or might have been feeling under the weather.  Was the Staff Captain there in the Captain’s stead?

Your luggage will go through a scanner.  If they see bottles inside, they will be pulled aside and you will need to retrieve them from security.  There is a good chance the bottles will be removed and you can collect them at debarkation.  All beverages must be carried on.

Putting wine in carryon is recommended by many travelers but it isn’t required by the cruise line

So just to make sure I understand, If you bring bottle of wine on board and drink it in your room/balcony there is no fee, the fee is only charged if you bring bottle to dining room. Is this correct?

    Yes

My sister in law does not have a passport. On our last Celebrity cruise she used her d/l and marriage certificate instead of a passport.  When she tried to check in for our March 2024 cruise, the only option that shows up in the mobile app or on the web is a passport.

How does she enter the document details?

Do we need to call Celebrity?

I think her memory is mistaken. She would have had to have had an original birth certificate, in addition to the drivers license and certificate.

  6. There are hundreds and hundreds of excursions so it’s really difficult to answer your question without knowing more. If it’s a boat ride, once they reach the capacity of the boat, that’s probably it. If it’s a beach day, they probably can add another bus to get you there. If there is a meal involved, the restaurant may only be able to serve so many people. Sometimes there are waitlist for short excursions and sometimes there aren’t.

We have an 11am check in time in Sydney but today received an email from The Retreat asking for our preferences on certain things, further down in the email it says boarding will commence at 1.15pm so have no idea what’s going on there..I have asked for clarification

There’s check in, and there’s boarding.  They are different.  😀
